The position

As the Head of our Brussels site, you will report to the global Senior Vice President of Product Supply Aseptic Manufacturing (PS AM) and oversee a strategic aseptic manufacturing facility with a staff of 650 individuals.

 

You will oversee site operations, including manufacturing, quality control, supply chain management, and regulatory compliance. Your role is crucial for business growth, maintaining quality and safety standards, and promoting continuous improvement. The site performs well, and your goal is to ensure business continuity and further enhance performance. The site was acquired by Novo Nordisk less than a year ago and you will therefore also lead the continued integration journey into Novo Nordisk.

 

In addition, you will:

 

  • Manage full Site Operations by supervising financials, quality, compliance, EHS, and security. Provide leadership to align with corporate goals and objectives and ensure delivery according to agreed plans.
  • Achieve regulatory compliance by following policies and sustainability guidelines, as well as applicable regulations including those from the FDA, EMA, and AFMPS.
  • Implement Operational Excellence tools and methodologies to support continuous improvement and maintain quality systems with effective SOPs and documentation practices.
  • Establish and sustain robust relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, local communities, and regulatory agencies. This involves engaging with senior management, contributing to strategic planning meetings, and offering insights and feedback based on site performance and capabilities.
  • Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing team by promoting collaboration, innovation, and accountability.

 

Qualifications

We seek a senior leader with the following qualifications:

  • A senior leader with experience from a similar position in a global pharma company.
  • Experience from aseptic manufacturing.
  • Experience with continuous improvement implementation and systematic problem-solving.
  • Experience with regulatory authorities, including FDA and EMA.
  • Experience with work councils and unions and collaboration with industry associations.
  • International experience, preferably acquired through expatriation.
  • French and English at professional level.

PS AM, the largest unit in Novo Nordisk Product Supply, handles aseptic manufacturing for all Novo Nordisk's therapeutic areas. With more than 15,800 employees across seven countries (Belgium, Brazil, China, Denmark, France, Italy, and USA), we operate eleven factories/sites.

 

PS AM Brussels is one of the seven countries operating with a facility that currently employes more than 650 colleagues and focuses on diabetes-care and obesity products. The site has been integrated into PS AM since December 2024, following the acquisition of Catalent by Novo Nordisk.
