Your new role

 

As a Regional Medical Advisor in our BeLux affiliate, you'll serve as the scientific bridge between Novo Nordisk's innovative cardiometabolic portfolio and the healthcare community. You'll develop medical educational and advisory services for Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) and KOLs in diabetes, obesity, and associated comorbidities such as CVD, CKD, MASH – translating complex clinical evidence into clear value messages that drive optimal patient care.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Building and maintaining a robust network of HCPs and KOLs across endocrinology, cardiology, nephrology and hepatology/gastro-enterology establishing Novo Nordisk as a trusted scientific partner
  • Leading scientific dialogue at regional and local round tables, presenting clinical data and facilitating multidisciplinary discussions that advance patient care
  • Co-developing and delivering innovative educational projects, including speaker development, scientific presentations, and collaborative hospital meetings
  • Collecting actionable medical insights on physician needs, patient care pathways, and data interpretation to inform strategic decision-making across the organization
  • Co-defining the local medical affairs strategy in the cardiometabolic field, ensuring alignment with both clinical excellence and business objectives
  • Supporting tailored medical responses to unsolicited information requests from HCPs
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Market Access, and Clinical Operations to execute integrated business strategies

You will join the Medical Affairs team – a dynamic high-performing group dedicated to sustaining and strengthening our position in diabetes, obesity, and their associated comorbidities. Your work will directly support the ongoing success of established products while contributing clinical expertise to upcoming pipeline launches. This is a field-based role covering the east part of Wallonia and Luxembourg, where you'll work closely with the commercial department and sales representatives active in your region, reporting to the RMA Manager.

 

Your skills & qualifications

 

We're seeking a scientifically rigorous professional who thrives in dynamic healthcare environments and is passionate about improving patient outcomes. You'll bring:

  • University degree in Science, Pharmacy or Medicine with minimum 4 years of relevant working experience, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry and in areas related to our therapeutic interests
  • Profound knowledge in a cardiometabolic disease domain (diabetes, obesity, or associated comorbidities such as CVD, CKD, MASH)
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive environment while upholding strict medical ethics and prioritizing patient outcomes
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences from specialist TOP-KOLs to general practitioners
  • Strong ability to work independently in a field-based role, with the confidence to set priorities in a complex work environment
  • Fluency in written and spoken French and English
  • Willingness to travel and attend/speak at evening meetings throughout your region
