If yes, then we have an exciting job opportunity for you as Patient Engagement Manager in Novo Nordisk Belgium & Luxembourg, where you will help us make a difference for people living with overweight and obesity in a newly created role.  


The position

As a Patient Engagement Manager, you will be offered an exciting opportunity to work in the newly established and growing Obesity Business Unit, bring in new ideas and being a part of a dynamic team that aims to improve health and quality of life for people living with obesity. In this position your main goal as a Patient Engagement Manager is to increase disease awareness among people living with obesity. In close collaboration with the broader cross-functional team, you will be developing a patient engagement strategy, as well as develop and drive the implementation of multi-channel patient awareness, activation, and treatment adherence initiatives. You will report directly to our Obesity Business Unit Director.


As a Patient Engagement Manager, your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Develop and implement multi-channel patient engagement initiatives
  • Increase patient’s awareness of the complexity behind obesity and obesity as a disease
  • Develop insights into the obesity patient journey and flow through the Belgian Health care system, with the aim to find ways to further improve the patient experience
  • Build and implement a strategic Patient Engagement plan, in line with the overall Novo Nordisk strategy and ambition
  • Build and develop networks and partnerships with relevant stakeholders
  • Provide tools and information to enhance disease awareness and better adherence to treatment
  • Contribute and actively participate in cross-functional internal working groups



About you


  • You hold a bachelor`s degree in Science, Business, Marketing, or the equivalent
  • You have a solid understanding and knowledge of digital/multi-channel marketing, incl. experience with digital tools and (social) media platforms
  • You have solid project management experience and skills
  • You bring relevant professional working experience, for example from the pharma- or biotech industry, a patient organisation, or from working with a stigmatized disease area
  • You have excellent French, Dutch and English written and spoken language skills
  • You are confident with MS Office programmes and IT systems

  • You have excellent and effective communication and presentation skills
