The role

 

The IT Security Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the digital security of our Brussels production site. This person acts as the key link between the local production teams and global information security, overseeing both office and factory systems. They will coordinate cybersecurity efforts, ensure compliance with internal policies and legal requirements, manage incident response, and lead awareness activities. This is a new role, offering the opportunity to shape the local security function from the ground up. Top 5 responsibilities:

 

  • Coordinate IT and Operational Technology Security: Serve as the local expert on digital security and lead the implementation of global and site-specific security practices and standards.
  • Monitor Compliance and Handle Security Incidents : Oversee local adherence to security policies, investigate incidents, and coordinate responses in collaboration with global teams.
  • Maintain Security Documentation and Assess Risks : Keep procedures up to date, conduct risk and vulnerability assessments, and contribute to audits of both internal systems and external vendors.
  • Promote Security Awareness and Training : Develop and deliver on-site training sessions for employees to build awareness and encourage best practices around cybersecurity.
  • Support Local Projects and Firewall Governance : Participate in IT-related projects to ensure proper security oversight, and manage local firewall requests and approvals in coordination with central teams.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Industry Experience in Digital Security: Hands-on experience in a manufacturing or production environment is essential, with overall a minimum of 5 years' experience in IT security. Experience with ISO 27001 or IEC 62443.
  • Recognized Security Certification: A certification such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent is required.
  • Strong Technical Background: Solid knowledge of computer networks, infrastructure, and systems security, as well as industrial systems such as automation and process control.
  • Language Skills: Fluent spoken and written English and French are required; Dutch is a strong advantage.
  • Collaborative Mindset and Flexibility: A team-oriented approach and the ability to occasionally respond to urgent situations outside regular hours are important for success in this role.

About the site

 

End of 2024, Novo Nordisk acquired the manufacturing site Catalent Belgium SA. The site is now part of Novo Nordisk and has begun the transition to become a fully integrated Novo Nordisk manufacturing site. To advance the integration, the Brownfield Site Integration team for Brussels (BSI Brussels) has been established with the responsibility for local integration and capacity maximization in collaboration with the local team.
