Role

You will be responsible for leading continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging data analysis to foster operational excellence. This role combines Lean Six Sigma expertise with advanced skills in the Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, PowerApps, Power Automate) to support process optimization and performance monitoring. You will contribute to the implementation of technical solutions and work across various Production departments (Packaging, Filling, etc.). In close collaboration with our teams, your key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Analysing existing processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and defining action priorities. This involves being present on the shop floor to understand your colleagues' needs.

 

  • Designing and developing digital tools (dashboards, apps) to automate and visualize performance using Microsoft tools (Power BI, PowerApps, etc.).

 

  • Sharing your Lean Six Sigma knowledge and skills by organizing Lean workshops (Kaizen, etc.) and supporting capability development within Continuous Improvement teams (coaching Green/Yellow Belts, delivering training).

 

  • Working independently on the development of new solutions while collaborating with internal departments (QA, Production, IT, etc.). You will also take part in equipment performance reviews.

 

  • Proactively proposing improvements (e.g., drawing inspiration from best practices at other Novo Nordisk production sites).

 

Qualifications

You have:

 

  • Master degree in industrial engineering, bioengineering, industrial management, or equivalent.

 

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in an industrial production environment. You have a strong interest in application development, process digitalization, and a continuous improvement mindset.

 

  • A Green Belt or Black Belt certification in Lean Six Sigma. You are proficient with Microsoft Power Platform tools (Power BI, PowerApps, Power Automate). Proficiency in process modelling tools (Microsoft Visio) and knowledge of DAX, SQL or Python is a plus.

 

  • The ability to understand and communicate in English (spoken and written). Being able to understand and speak French and/or Dutch is a plus.

 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills: you enjoy and are capable of building and maintaining long-term relationships with various stakeholders. You value teamwork and work well in collaborative environments.

Our Department

You will report to our Continuous Improvement Manager and join a team of one Continuous Improvement Specialist and one Continuous Improvement Senior Expert. You will work regularly with internal departments (Quality, Production, Maintenance, Engineering, etc.).

At the end of 2024, Novo Nordisk acquired the Catalent Belgium SA production site. The site is now part of Novo Nordisk and has begun its transformation into a fully integrated production site. To support this integration, the Brownfield Site Integration (BSI) Brussels team was created to manage local integration and maximize capabilities in close collaboration with the on-site team.
