The position

As Compliance Manager, you will be part of a team dedicated to drive the Belgium affiliate’s compliance and business ethics focus and be a key stakeholder for the business, instrumental in accelerating business success and putting patients first as we are working to optimise diabetes and obesity care.

In addition, you will act as Responsible Person for Information and Publicity (RIP) ensuring that the promotion and information on the products is in compliance with applicable legislation and rules. You will be safeguarding our license to operate and reputation by identifying and mitigating compliance risks and guiding the business on ensuring that we meet compliance requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing and approving all communications to healthcare professionals in Belgium and Luxembourg
  • Giving compliance advice and ensuring the compliance with industry Codes of Conduct, i.e. Pharma.be, Mdeon, IML, EFPIA, etc.
  • Developing and strengthen business ethics and compliance mindset and capabilities within the affiliate by way of supporting in creating trainings and other awareness initiatives.
  • Ensuring follow-up on timelines of preventive and corrective actions, as a result of an internal audit, spot check exercise, etc.
  • Coordinating and preparing for internal audits, external inspections and enquiries from health authorities.

Qualifications

  • You are Pharmacist or Medical Doctor.
  • You have solid experience in the pharmaceutical industry, in similar position of compliance and business ethics. You qualify or aspire to be a Responsible Person for Information and Publicity (RIP).
  • Demonstrated thorough knowledge and understanding of applicable laws, regulations and industry codes
  • Strong knowledge of compliance and regulatory developments in the life sciences industry in Belgium.
  • You are fluent in English and French/Dutch (oral and written).

 

About the department

Novo Nordisk started in Belgium in 1974. We are a company of 100 people. Reporting to the Legal and Compliance Director of Novo Nordisk Belgium, you will be part of a team of three talented colleagues.

The purpose of the Compliance function is to ensure Novo Nordisk Belgium is complying with applicable laws, rules and regulations as well as internal policies and code of conduct (Business Ethics). The team environment is characterized by a strong emphasis on attention to detail, clear communication, and a commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards.
