The position

As a Digital Marketing Manager, with your expertise in digital marketing tools and strategies, you will lead the integrated digital marketing campaigns from concept to execution. You will work closely with the Obesity Business Unit Manager, Obesity Medical Manager, supporting teams and vendors to launch campaigns on time and within budget.


Based on customer insights, you will develop and deploy new services that complement our products. The expectation from Digital Marketing Manager role is to develop and optimize usage of current channels and identify new channels to reach the business goals. As the custodian of our digital channels, we expect that the Digital Marketing Manager has a rich digital media knowledge, passion for marketing automation, analytics and personal drive to handle campaign operations.


This position is based in Bratislava, Slovakia; and directly reports to the Business Unit Director, Obesity.


  • Lead the digital marketing campaigns in Obesity and take overall responsibility for digital brand communication in close cooperation with respective stakeholders.
  • Based on competitor benchmarking, best practice review and analysis of our marketing performance data, identify powerful digital marketing initiatives for Novo Nordisk and its key brands.
  • Continuously evaluate all digital marketing activities to optimize effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Increase our share of voice in digital channels: Build and promote relevant online channels and communities, create and promote digital assets.
  • Build and maintain relations to global functions, actively collaborate with all global digital functions as well as peers in other clusters taking part in knowledge exchange meetings.
  • Implementation of global multichannel initiatives in the region.
  • Close cooperation with local commercial and medical managers.
  • Customer Experience Initiatives to systematically analyse key customer journeys and optimize internal processes across functions to improve customer experience.
  • Measure customer satisfaction, identify opportunities to improve, create and revise processes to become more customer-centric (online & offline).
  • Based on customer insights, identify and develop relevant external partnerships to create innovative health services for holistic disease treatment.
  • Lead the development of new tools for patients and health care professionals, including AI-powered digital services.
  • Continuously evaluate and evolve activities to further drive customer experience.
  • Seek new tools and programs emerging in the digital space, engage with industry leaders on best practices, determine relevancy for our company, and make recommendations to keep Novo Nordisk on the forefront of interactive trends.




  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in marketing, IT or related fields.
  • Minimum 3 to 4 years of experience within digital marketing landscape with strong understanding of the possibilities in digital landscape.
  • Proven working experience in digital marketing, experience with a marketing automation tools.
  • Solid knowledge of ad serving tools and Google Analytics, Google Adwords, NetInsight, Omniture, Web Trends; working knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript development and constraints.
  • Up to date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Out-of-the-box thinking, ability to solve complex problems and drive the change.
  • Fluent in both verbal and written Slovak and English
