Automation Engineer PLC Systems Integration & Lifecycle Management

The position
As an Automation Engineer you will translate user requirements (URS) into technical specifications for vendors and integrators. You will oversee and support FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ, and PQ processes. You will act as a technical liaison during system commissioning and integration.
Your other responsibilities will include: 

•    Maintain and debug PLC-based control systems, mainly Siemens S7 and others as relevant.

•    Implement light modifications to PLC logic or HMI where needed.

•    Ensure systems are sustainable and not vendor-locked, contributing to long-term strategy.

•    Collaborate with network-focused engineers to ensure seamless integration with plant infrastructure.

•    Support documentation, change control, and compliance standards.

 

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:

•    At least secondary school in technical field, ideally Technical University. 

•    Fluent in Czech and English language.

•    Ideally working experience with PLC systems (Siemens, Phoenix Contact, etc.)

•    Understanding of industrial automation. 

•    Understanding of control system architectures and industrial automation lifecycles 

•    Familiarity with ISA-88 and ISA-95 standards 

•    Ability to read and interpret MaR diagrams and electrical schematics 

•    Knowledge of OT protocols such as Profinet, S7comm, Modbus, OPC

•    Capable of basic programming/debugging in common PLC environments (TIA Portal, PLCnext Engineer, etc.).

•    Ability to commute to Bohumil.

You are a Team player with strong communication skills and initiative to drive technology learning, with attention to detail, creativity, willing to learn, having good problem solving-skills.
