Automation Engineer OT Network & Systems Integration

The position
As an Automation Engineer you will design, extend, and maintain OT network infrastructure (L2/L3 switches, firewalls, VLANs). You will define secure network architecture for integration of new systems into existing infrastructure.
Your other responsibilities will include: 

•    Establish and enforce secure communication (ports/protocols), data flows, and segregation policies.

•    Support FAT/SAT in terms of network readiness and integration validation.

•    Collaborate with control system engineers to support process-level data access and visibility.

•    Maintain and update engineering stations and automation tools.

•    Avoid vendor lock-in and support long-term, future-proof infrastructure strategy.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:

•    At least secondary school in technical field, ideally Technical University. 

•    Fluent in Czech and English language.

•    Ideally some working experience in industrial or OT networking environments.

•    Solid understanding of the OSI model and its application in OT.

•    Familiarity with ISA-95 reference model and integration layers.

•    Experience with common OT protocols (MQTT, OPC-UA, S7comm, Profinet).

•    Hands-on experience with industrial switches, firewalls, and VLAN configurations.

•    Knowledge of cyber-security practices in OT (e.g., port/protocol filtering, DMZs).

•    Ability to collaborate across disciplines, including IT, automation, and operations.

•    Ability to commute to Bohumil.

You are a Team player with strong communication skills and initiative to drive technology learning, with attention to detail, creativity, willing to learn, having good problem solving-skills.
