Your new role
As Key Account Manager for the public channel, you'll manage critical relationships with insurers, logistics operators, distributors, hospitals and institutional healthcare providers to maximize portfolio access across the country.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and execute commercial, financial, and access strategies to achieve institutional channel objectives, including sales, collections (ensuring the financial health of the own institutional portfolio through proactive receivables management, credit risk mitigation, and sustainable contract structuring), and access.
  • Lead negotiations in public and private tenders, ensuring competitive positioning and contract effectiveness
  • Build and strengthen strategic networks with EPS, logistics operators and public/private entities, positioning Novo Nordisk as a trusted healthcare system partner
  • Map and influence complex stakeholder ecosystems across payers, providers, logistics operators and decision – making bodies.
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts with market access, finance, supply chain, regulatory affairs and legal teams to ensure flawless contract execution and financial flow
  • Develop and execute comprehensive strategic account plans integrating access, financial, operational and stakeholder strategies for each priority account.
  • Ensure full compliance with Novo Nordisk's ethics policies, Colombian regulations and transparency standards in all stakeholder interactions
  • Travel nationally (50%) to maintain strong presence with key institutional accounts

Your skills & qualifications
We're looking for an experienced institutional account leader who thrives in complex healthcare environments and brings a strategic, results-oriented approach. You'll need:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as Key Account Manager or similar role within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Proven experience managing key institutional clients in Bucaramanga, Costa and Eje Cafetero.
  • Demonstrated experience in public and private tender processes and contract negotiation
  • University degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Medicine or related fields
  • Strong capabilities in strategic planning, high-level negotiation, financial management and executive networking
  • Deep knowledge of the Colombian healthcare system and institutional purchasing dynamics
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with CRM systems and SAP/ERP platforms
  • Intermediate to advanced English proficiency
  • Willingness to travel nationally up to 50% of the time
