The Position
The Revenue Recognition Accountant plays a key role in maintaining the accuracy of financial records and assisting in the preparation of financial statements, reporting, and internal controls. This position collaborates closely with the accounting team and various other departments to ensure effective financial operations.

Reports to Manager or Senior Manager
Essential Functions
- Responsible for the revenue accounting including but not limited to invoicing, accruals, SOX reviews, and amortizations
- Investigate and support resolution of problems associated with the customer invoicing with revenue stream owners and other departments
- Assist with month-end close activities related to revenue accounting. Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and internal reports to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Ensure accuracy of accounting records in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies and procedures
- Adhere to internal control requirements and assist with audit documentation as needed
- Assist in month-end reporting and ad hoc analysis
- Provide support for internal and external audits and other accounting projects assigned by corporate or site finance management
- Identify and support process improvement opportunities for accuracy and efficiency in revenue accounting processes. Participate in cross-functional projects, system enhancements, and finance transformation initiatives
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements
100% work scheduled based on-site at Bloomington, Indiana facility. Ability to sit at a desk.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field of study from an accredited university, required
- Two (2) years of experience in accounting or finance, with a strong understanding of general accounting principles, required
- Revenue Recognition (ASC 606), preferred
- Knowledge of financial accounting, financial statements, and reconciliations, required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software, required
- ERP system experience, preferred
- Adaptability and continuous learning, required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail, required
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with various teams, required
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, required
