The Position

As the Business Unit Director, you will build and lead the development and implementation of the local Obesity strategy by creating awareness of Novo Nordisk in and amongst the Obesity Market in Serbia. This role will also be responsible for collaborating with the Global and Regional Obesity team as well as working on a cross functional basis at a local level. You will be part of leadership team and will directly report to General Manager and Vice President.

 

  • You will drive short and long-term Obesity strategy in Serbia to ensure strong, sustainable growth of the full portfolio.
  • You will oversee key opportunities and challenges with the obesity portfolio in the mid-term and develop action plans towards key growth drivers.
  • You will be responsible to build and develop strategic and tactical local plans (mapping buying process, defining patient journey, market segmentation, competitor analysis, market modelling, scenario + contingency planning as well as investigate tender market opportunities) in alignment with Global and Regional directions and deliver both Sales and Marketing objectives with a P&L responsibility as agreed in anchor budget.
  • As a people manager, you will maintain employee engagement through performance management, coaching and talent development in marketing, market development and sales functions.

 

Qualifications

To be successful at this position, we expect you to have University degree (Master’s degree or equivalent), preferably in medicine, pharmacy, dentistry or natural sciences.

 

  • At least 7 years of experience in a pharma company in leadership role (both tactical & strategic experience).
  • Experience in people management role.
  • Strong business understanding and knowledge of local pharmaceutical market.
  • Proven success in ethical pharmaceutical sales/customer facing role.
  • Leadership of cross-functional Marketing, Sales, Market Access and Medical teams to deliver business strategy is an advantage.
  • Understanding of obesity and product portfolio is an advantage.
  • Good influencing, communication and presentation skills
  • Fluent English and Serbian
