Your new role

Join Novo Nordisk Serbia as a Marketing Lead, where you will drive the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies and business growth initiatives for our portfolio in Diabetes, Obesity, and Rare Diseases.

This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution, ensuring alignment with global objectives while fostering local market innovation, customer-centricity, and sustainable commercial success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Strategic Planning: Develop and implement multi-year brand plans, including market analysis, segmentation, and positioning to maximize portfolio growth.
  • Drive Marketing Excellence: Oversee omnichannel campaigns and promotional material compliance, ensuring impactful engagement with healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Accelerate Business Development: Identify new opportunities, manage product launches, and build strong partnerships with key stakeholders to enhance market access.
  • Manage Financial Performance: Control marketing budgets, monitor ROI, and adjust tactics based on market trends and competitor insights.
  • Foster Team Growth: Mentor and develop a high-performing team, promoting innovation, accountability, and alignment with Novo Nordisk values.
  • Ensure Compliance & Quality: Uphold ethical standards, pharmacovigilance, and quality systems while safeguarding patient safety and data integrity.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with Sales, Medical, and Regulatory teams to ensure seamless execution of brand strategies and initiatives.

 

Your new department

You will lead a team of four highly skilled marketing professionals, guiding and inspiring them to deliver outstanding results. You will also join our Serbia-based organization of roughly 80 colleagues, collaborating across functions to drive impact and growth.

 

Your skills & qualifications

  • Educational Background: Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Marketing, or Business Administration.
  • Extensive Experience: Minimum 8+ years in marketing or business development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in product launches, P&L management, and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of digital marketing tools, data analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI), and budget management.
  • Strategic & Negotiation Skills: Exceptional ability in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and negotiation.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in English and Serbian, both written and spoken.
  • Leadership Competencies: Inspires teams, drives innovation, ensures compliance, and fosters collaboration across departments.
  • Customer-Centric Mindset: Deep understanding of healthcare professional and patient needs, combined with agility to adapt to market changes.
