Sr. Director, Digital Solutions

Key responsibilities  

1)    Manage the entire digital solution portfolio for Region China

•    Own the digital solution portfolio, make sure the solutions are properly staffed and financed
•    Lead the team to deep dive, understand and explore patient insights and physician engagement.
•    Manage vendors to develop, maintain and upgrade digital solutions on schedule, on budget and with high quality.
2)    Identify new opportunities to enhance current digital solutions and participate in generating new digital innovations
•    Forecast the digital solution opportunities and trend based on market attractiveness analysis and competitiveness analysis
•    Ensure new digital solutions are in line with business needs (i.e. sales and marketing team requirements, compliance, etc.)

3)    Ensure all the digital solutions in the portfolio deliver tangible business results and deliver optimal customer experience
•    Constantly check the results of digital solutions to meet business needs, and make necessary changes when needed
•    Keep improving the customer experience of digital solution to help achieve business needs
4)    Communicate with key stakeholders with all other teams in the company to align on business needs, mitigate risks and promote digital solutions for business uses 
•    Drive alignment and buy-in from multiple stakeholders, make sure digital solutions support company strategy, etc.
•    Explain and demonstrate business impact of digital solutions
•    Solve conflicts between business team when required
5)    Lead digital solution team to achieve company targets, provide opportunities and support to team members’ personal development

•    Motivate and develop team members ensuring that team member receive proper training to achieve high performance.
•    Use training and development approaches to grow team members’ competency and personal development 
•    Actively promote sharing and cooperation within team and with other units, inspire and motivate team members to foster innovation and continuous improvement
6)    Assist the VP of Digital Health Hub on team management, capability building and other admin tasks
•    Help set team strategies and planning, mitigate risks, solve issues
•    Develop role-specific competence requirements, balance resources, etc.


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other engineering fields, MBA preferred
  • Minimum 15 years working experience in digital related fields with successful track record.
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience is a huge plus
  • Minimum 4 years of managing, leading and developing people experience required
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Digital marketing experience is required, either in a consulting environment or a corporate setting
  • Project management experience is required, incl. Managing multiple stakeholders, communication to senior management and driving outcomes amidst constant change
  • In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical industry and NN brands is preferred
  • Extensive managerial experience / ability to lead team
  • Analytical and strategic thinking ability
  • Demonstrate a thorough and in-depth understanding of digital business approach, product knowledge and key customers to drive strategic direction and planning
  • Ability to demonstrative creative and innovative strategies for business development
  • Strong coordination/communication skills with demonstrated ability to work with cross functional teams
  • Proven people management skills and focus on professional development for direct reports
