The Position

As Senior Manager, Consumer Execution Excellence, you will set the direction and standards for consumer intelligence, forecasting and insight generation. Your focus will be on building a reliable data foundation, identifying changes in consumer demand and the competitive environment, and translating evidence into clear recommendations and timely action.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Build the consumer intelligence foundation: Establish and maintain a governed data foundation integrating CRM, campaign, media, platform, social listening, market research, business and external market data. Define common data standards, quality checks, access rules, refresh cycles and dashboards.

  • Lead category and demand intelligence: Monitor category growth, consumer needs, behavioural shifts, barriers, channel dynamics and emerging trends across relevant disease areas. Develop category outlooks, forecast assumptions, scenarios and opportunity maps.

  • Strengthen competitor intelligence: Build an ongoing competitor intelligence programme covering consumer positioning, audiences, claims, campaigns, content, media and channel investment, digital journeys, partnerships and innovation. Provide early-warning insights and recommend appropriate response options.

  • Turn insights into strategic recommendations: Combine consumer, category, competitor and performance data to identify the root causes behind market changes, performance gaps and forecast deviations. Translate findings into opportunity sizing, strategic scenarios and actionable recommendations.

  • Support planning and performance reviews: Provide consumer-insight inputs to marketing plans and sales forecasts. Support annual planning, brand and disease-area strategy reviews, campaign planning and major investment decisions, and trigger timely forecast or strategy adjustments when evidence changes.

  • Lead and develop the team: Set clear objectives, priorities and analytical standards; allocate complex assignments; coach team members; remove obstacles; and create an environment of trust, constructive challenge and continuous feedback.

  • Build organisational capability: Develop reusable forecasting and insight methodologies, templates and storytelling standards. Strengthen stakeholders’ ability to interpret evidence, challenge assumptions and make consumer-centric, insight-driven decisions.

  • Solid people-leadership experience, preferably leading several professional employees.
  • Experience integrating multiple data sources and presenting evidence-based recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong capabilities in strategic analysis, scenario modelling, opportunity sizing, executive storytelling and stakeholder influence.
  • Fluent written and spoken English and Chinese.
