Open Rank LBA RA Position – in Bioanalysis Department

 

Novo Nordisk is a focused healthcare company and a world leader in diabetes care. Novo Nordisk R&D Centre China (NNRCC) is an integrated part of Novo Nordisk R&D organization. NNRCC currently has a new position open for a highly qualified and motivated ligand binding assays research associate with proven laboratory-based experience in bioanalysis, drug metabolism and automation.

 

The Bioanalysis department consists of LC-MS based bioanalysis team and immunoassay based bioanalysis team in Discovery Biology China (DBC) at NNRCC, and has strong expertise with state-of-art platforms for both LC-MS and immunoassay. The department is supporting global research projects, new target discovery/validation, identification and evaluation of disruptive innovation opportunities crossing both disease and technology areas. We are a highly motivated and productive department with high standards for our deliveries into the projects, and the ambition to drive innovation.

 

Key areas of responsibility:

The overall objective and primary responsibility of this position is to design, plan and execute bioanalysis work using ligand binding assay and automation technologies. Depending on tasks, you are expected to both be able to work independently or closely together with a PhD-level scientist and other colleagues in the early research phase.

 

Owing to a significant amount of laboratory-based work tasks, the successful candidate will also assist in the development and implementing of novel LBA assays for new projects. The qualified candidate is also expected to critically analyse and interpret experimental data and to prepare clear and well-documented findings for distribution to multi-functional project teams. Finally, the ideal candidate proactively identifies and resolves experimental issues, takes interest in identification and progress of novel technologies, and performs instrument maintenance and troubleshooting as required.

 

You will be referring directly to the department head and your main internal contacts in your daily work will be scientist colleagues, research associates, project members, and managers both in Beijing and global.

 

Qualifications:

  • Master of Science in pharmaceutical sciences, analytical chemistry or related disciplines
  • 2-4 years of practical experience from an industry or academic setting working with LBA (ELISA, MSD, AlphaLISA, etc)
  • Experience with automation technologies (Agilent Bravo, Hamilton Microlab STARlet, etc) a plus
  • Experience with qPCR or biochemical analyzer is an advantage
  • Detail oriented
  • Excellent communication skills

Title and compensation will be commensurate with the applicant’s qualifications and based on benchmark in China.
