Pharmacovigilance Advisor

Play a critical role in patient safety while ensuring compliance across one of our most important growth markets.

Your new role

As a Pharmacovigilance Advisor, you'll be instrumental in maintaining the highest safety standards for our products in China. You'll serve as a key liaison between local operations and global safety teams, ensuring that every safety signal is captured, assessed, and acted upon in compliance with both local regulations and Novo Nordisk standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting local PV compliance management to ensure all safety activities are processed in accordance with Chinese regulations and Novo Nordisk SOPs
  • Providing safety oversight and communications on customer engagement programs (CEPs), co-promotional/co-marketing activities, and digital initiatives, including training, qualification assessment and SDEA review
  • Collecting, reviewing, processing and distributing customer complaints and safety information in a timely and quality manner
  • Ensuring high-quality and timely submission of individual case safety reports to Global Safety and local Health Authorities according to internal SOPs and local regulations
  • Preparing, reviewing and submitting periodic and aggregate safety reports according to local requirements (PSUR, device PRER, annual reports and other safety documents)
  • Monitoring local PV regulatory requirements from authorities, performing gap analysis, and ensuring implementation and compliance
  • Providing comprehensive trainings for internal and external stakeholders, including vendors and CROs, and mentoring new/junior product safety staff

Your skills & qualifications

We're looking for an experienced pharmacovigilance professional who combines technical expertise with a genuine commitment to patient safety. You'll bring with you:

  • Bachelor's degree or above in clinical medicine, pharmacy or relevant field
  • Minimum 6 years' experience in pharmaceutical industry or related industry such as medical devices or healthcare
  • Minimum 5 years specifically in pharmacovigilance function
  • Strong familiarity with China, EU, and ICH pharmacovigilance legislation
  • Proven ability to manage safety information in compliance with Good Documentation Practice (GDP) and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent communication and training skills, with ability to engage diverse stakeholders including vendors, health authorities, and internal teams
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing complex compliance requirements
