Open Rank Scientist Position – in Pharmacology and Histopathology Department

NNRCC currently has a new position open for a highly qualified and motivated scientist with expertise in drug candidate pharmacokinetics evaluation who plans to advance a career in China. 

     

The department consists of Rodent Pharmacology, Dog Pharmacology and Histopathology in Discovery Biology China (DBC) at NNRCC. The Rodent Pharmacology team is responsible for supporting diabetes, obesity, CVD, NASH and CKD research projects and new target discovery/validation. The Dog Pharmacology team is supporting dog PK and PK/PD studies for various pipeline projects.  We are a highly motivated and productive department with high standards for our deliveries into the projects.

 

Key areas of responsibility:

Take responsibility in various project supports by leading pharmacokinetics evaluation in dogs. You will plan and conduct in vivo studies based on project needs. Furthermore, you will be expected to leverage the innovation culture, mentor junior colleagues, and promote the collaboration culture both internally and globally.

 

You will be involved in cross-functional project teams with colleagues from many different scientific backgrounds. You will be responsible to design, execute and deliver high quality dog PK data. You are expected to seek influence based on the data you generate and by keeping up to date with PK modelling expertise.

 

You will be referring directly to the department manager and your main internal contacts in your daily work will be local and global scientist colleagues, research associates, project members and managers. Cross-functional and cross-site communication/collaboration is a great part of your work.

 

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Pharmacology or a relevant scientific discipline
  • 2-5 years independent research experience in academic and/or industrial environment. Experience within pharmaceutical R&D is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in technical proficiency in pharmacokinetics evaluation
  • Expertise in in vivo pharmacology is a must, experience in large animal pharmacology is a plus.
  • Excellent track record of scientific achievement
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluent in English
