Key responsibilities
Lead Medical & Science, Diabetes & OSCD team to drive global & local clinical development in align with China regulatory requirement and business needs for the whole portfolio within Diabetes and OSCD field to generate, report and interpret clinical data in order to ensure new products approval and strengthen product life cycle management in China
- Establish clinical development strategies and lead the team to contribute to trial outline and full protocol development based on regulatory requirement and business needs to generate clinical data for new product approval and strengthen product life cycle management
- Take overall medical responsibility in Diabetes & OSCD clinical trial execution with high scientific and ethical standards to ensure the quality of clinical trial for regulatory submission and scientific communication
- Develop medical strategy for key clinical documents generation and take responsibility of medical communication in interaction with Health Authority to achieve timely CTA/NDA submission and approval
- Set up and maintain relationship with KOLs/Investigators to influence them accommodate and overcome medical or treatment procedure barriers in clinical programme to facilitate trial execution and advocate for Novo Nordisk new drug development
- Manage performance of Medical & Science, Diabetes & OSCD team to achieve the business goal and maintain organization health
Qualification
- Master degree or above in clinical medicine
- Documented clinical and/or scientific expertise, in key business area
- >10 years of expert knowledge within therapeutic area and drug development process preferably minimum 5 years of experience within field of expertise (e.g. physician, Investigator, specialist education), minimum 3 years of experience in drug development in multinational pharmaceutical companies
- Minimum 5 years of management experience, i.e project management or people management
- Comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical industry including local/global regulations focusing on clinical development
