About the department
Market Access & Public affairs is increasingly important in the business organization. It is to analyze relevant China healthcare reform policy trends and interpret the insight, implication and impact on the public hospitals development in order to build up long term strategic partnership with hospital leadership and management and strengthen corporate leadership positioning in diabetic innovative treatment.
The position
Drive the new product pricing and market access strategy development and readiness
• Analysis product value and policy trend, and develop product pricing choices and reimbursement access or OOP patient access roadmaps based on policy foresight;
• Getting payer insight by multi ways and match payer insight with product value and foresight policy analysis to propose the optimal pricing and access strategy
• Lead management team evaluation discussion and get management team approval for the pricing and access strategy
• Communicate HQ/IO for China price application, and handle challenges when necessarily to ensure getting approval
• For NRDL aiming product, set forth NRDL reimbursement listing position and key message to ensure optimal reimbursement result
• For non-NRDL aiming product, set forth OOP patient access and commercial insurance listing position and key message to ensure optima
• Lead MAPA internal training for new product access readiness
Develop price negotiation proposal and strategy development for key product NRDL/commercial insurance listing
• Mapping out and analysis negotiation scenarios based on policy, competitor intelligence and payer insight
• Drive pricing simulations, proposing target price and walk away price
• Develop pricing dossier for the NRDL negotiation/ commercial insurance cooperation proposal
• Liaison with payer KOL for policy insight and product value communication
• Facilitate China management team and IO evaluating and approving NRDL negotiation pricing mandate and commercial insurance ARP mandate
Drive key product life-cycle access strategy management
• Set post-NRDL patient access optimization strategy and working plan
• Optimize reimbursement price strategy to protect NN product post NRDL value
• Long-term planning for future product pricing and market access strategy based on forward looking policy assessment
• cross-functional projects for future product strategy
Partnership with field team for optimal local access
• Instruct field team for local strategy implementation
• Policy training for field market access team
The requirements
- 8+ years experience in pharm or 5+ experience in market access area
- Hand on experience on driving the whole process of new product market access readiness
- Strong communication skill
- Good reading and writing capability in English
- Global thinking
