Head of DD&IT-R&ED NNRCC

As a Department Head of Digital, Data & IT (DD&IT) Research & Early Development (R&ED) in NNRCC,  you lead 5-8 DD&IT professionals. Your department plays a key role in serving your scientist colleagues with technical solutions and expertise. The solutions helps NN colleagues to do scientific research and experiments faster, more efficiently, and accurately using digital technology. Your department will provide support on solutions spanning from application support of scientific applications, laboratory IT-systems and well as core infrastructure.

 

You will report to the VP of DD&IT R&ED situated in Copenhagen, Denmark as well as to the local Head of NNRCC. You will work and collaborate globally with the global DD&IT organization as well as the global R&ED organization.

 

The position

•    Lead the DD&IT-R&ED NNRCC department:

-Attraction, onboarding and hiring;

-Help individuals build their long-term career plan;

-Ensure active career development of staff;

-Coach and mentor employees on how to build and apply competences;

-Reward and performance management;

-Budgeting;

•    Drive digital development of NNRCC:
-Develop strategy for DD&IT-R&ED in NNRCC and ensure implementation; 
-Facilitate provision of IT solutions to support the operations in NNRCC;
-Provide IT infrastructure to facilitate collaboration and bridge to global organization and DD&IT products;

•    Facilitate cross-organisational knowledge sharing:
-Ensure anchoring of NNRCC in the capability delivery model;
-Promote use of global solutions in NNRCC;
-Facilitate groups to help solve organisational challenges;
-Participate in and help drive Communities of Practice across the organisation;

•    Drive the laboratory automation agenda in NNRCC:
-Facilitate and support laboratory automation initiatives in NNRCC;

•    Operate and maintain IT solutions in NNRCC:
-Ensure that NNRCC systems are maintained and managed according to corporate standards; 
-Align strategy, operational issues and standards with other global research sites;
-Manage local vendors and service providers;

•    Other administrative duties:
-Plan and negotiate personnel related activities;
-Keep personnel files updated.

 

Qualifications

•    M.Sc. or equivalent in Computer Science or relevant Natural Science;

•    Has thorough understanding of the value chain in the pharma industry;

•    Experience in Agile methodologies is preferred;

•    Experience with research & early development IT is preferred;

•    Experience as IT specialist or Scientist is preferred;

•    5+ years leadership of IT specialists;

•    Ability to collaborate & drive process globally;

•    Proficiency in both oral and written English;
