Your impact begins here
As Manager, Consumer Execution Excellence, you will turn complex consumer, category, competitor and performance data into insights that shape marketing decisions and commercial plans. You will help teams understand what is changing, why it matters and where action can create the greatest impact. By connecting reliable data with clear recommendations, you will strengthen forecasting, planning and consumer engagement across Mainland China. This is an individual-contributor role with ownership of substantial workstreams and the opportunity to influence decisions across functions.
What you’ll bring
You combine analytical depth with commercial understanding and can explain complex findings in a clear, practical way. You are comfortable taking ownership, challenging assumptions respectfully and helping diverse stakeholders move from evidence to action.
- A bachelor’s degree or above in marketing, business, economics, statistics, data science, information systems, social science, pharmaceuticals, life sciences or a related field.
- Typically, at least six years of experience in consumer or market insights, category intelligence, competitive intelligence, forecasting, marketing analytics, data strategy, strategic planning, consulting or a related area.
- Experience developing inputs for marketing plans and sales forecasts, structuring data collection and translating analysis into operational and financial implications.
- Strong capability in integrating multiple data sources, managing data quality, developing scenarios and presenting evidence-based recommendations.
- The ability to manage cross-functional projects independently and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
- Fluent written and spoken English and Chinese.
Useful, but not essential: a relevant postgraduate degree or certification in analytics, market research or competitive intelligence. Experience in pharmaceuticals, healthcare or another regulated industry is preferred, while experience in fast-moving consumer goods or another consumer-focused sector would be a strong advantage.
What you’ll do
- Manage consumer-intelligence datasets by integrating customer relationship management, campaign, media, platform, social-listening, research, business and external market data. Apply consistent definitions, quality controls, refresh cycles and dashboard standards.
- Monitor category development, consumer needs, behavioural changes, barriers, channels and emerging trends. Build category and demand outlooks that support sales forecasting, operational planning and profit planning.
- Analyse competitor positioning, audiences, campaigns, content, channel investment, digital journeys, partnerships and innovation. Maintain early-warning updates and recommend practical responses.
- Combine category, competitor, consumer and performance evidence to identify market drivers, forecast variances and performance gaps. Translate findings into opportunity assessments, scenarios and actionable recommendations.
- Support annual planning, strategy reviews, campaign planning and investment decisions. Track outcomes and recommend timely adjustments when the evidence changes.
- Improve forecasting models, analytical methods, dashboards and insight storytelling. Use advanced analytics, artificial-intelligence-enabled tools and test-and-learn approaches where appropriate, while maintaining data governance, ethical standards and human judgement.
