The Position 

As a Field Sales Manager at Novo Nordisk, you will: 

  • Promote and sell Novo Nordisk's products across multiple channels in a designated territory by contacting specialists, physicians, pharmacies, and distributors. 

  • Pursue sales leads, visit existing and new customers, assess customer needs, and suggest appropriate products and services. 

  • Respond to customer enquiries, negotiate prices and delivery times within limits of authority, and conclude sales orders to meet revenue targets. 

  • Identify, research, and contact prospective customers to build positive relationships that will generate future sales and repeat business. 

  • Demonstrate subject matter expertise and in-depth knowledge of Novo Nordisk's business with a cross-functional understanding. 

  • Use best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services. 

  • Handle specialist tasks of high complexity critical to the CVP area. 

  • Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience and may direct the work of other staff members. 

 

Qualifications 

We are looking for a candidate who meets the following qualifications: 

  • Professional in Marketing/Sales or Administration areas.  

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in promotion and/or commercial, ideally as a district manager and 4 years leading teams in the Trade channel.  

  • Previous experience in Diabetes / obesity / high-cost diseases / therapeutic segments is considered a plus. 

 

About the department 

You will be part of a dynamic team focused on developing the GLP1 market in the Trade channel and contributing to the positioning of our brands. Our team is dedicated to leadership, coordination, and support to ensure the successful implementation of brand strategies. We work cross-functionally to achieve demand generation (MS%, sales, DDD, and consumption share) of our products. The position is based in Barranquilla, Colombia, and covers the regions of Barranquilla, Santa Marta, Cartagena, Cali, Popayan, and Pasto.
