The Position
The successful candidate will develop and implement the local market access strategies, and plans for Obesity portfolio, in line with the Headquarters (HQ) strategy and will be collaborating with internal Marketing, Medical, Sales, Finance, Public Affairs and Communication teams, in the development and execution of partnership initiatives. The role is also expected to shape market environment and manage external stakeholders and will also drive healthcare system innovation and unlock possibilities to deliver values for the ecosystem and society and will co-create access materials and outputs that incorporate diverse stakeholder perspectives, such as Health Technology Assessment (HTA) bodies, Payers, Policy Makers, Governments, and Patients, to successfully support reimbursement submission and Access processes in Thailand.
Other role tasks are as follows but are not limited to:

  • Develop and monitor intelligence on market access landscapes, with respect to NN and competition access, healthcare system changes, HTA developments and general trends in the field. Execute affiliate market access plan based on local needs and strategies, aligned with Affiliate ambition.
  • Develop & execute strategic market access frameworks such as payer engagement, negotiation, and objection handler in close collaboration with IO/BA, as well as review of how evidence planning generation, and Real World Evidence (RWE) strategies can defend or substantiate pricing potential.
  • Develop insights on local payers and ensure optimal prioritization and segmentation and communicate how payers’ interests shape their positions and adapt planning and execution accordingly both for negotiations and sustained account management.
  • Collaborate closely with critical functional areas in affiliate (Business Unit heads, Finance, Pricing, Public affairs and CMRQ – Clinical, Medical, Regulatory, Quality) to drive aligned actions and tactics for local market access.
  • Leads on market access related policies e.g., MPP (Market Parity Price) frameworks, CGD listing, NLEM listing, tenders, legal reform & policy shaping, and communicate relevant changes and trends in local health policy environment, to brand teams.



  • Must have a university or bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Health Economics, or Public Policy, with at least 10 years of experience within pharmaceutical industry, and 3-5 years of experience within Market Access.
  • Experience in a Market Access, Government Relations and/or Health Technology is required. 
  • Track record of successful change management and delivering market access. Experience in a Market Access, Government Relations and/or Health Technology.
  • Must have strong comprehension of medical and clinical research methods, and publication interpretation, with ability to use evidence to support value proposition.
  • Has strong communication and influencing skills and is able to work in a matrix environment working directly with governmental officials.
