This position directly reports to the Clinical, Medical, Regulatory, Quality & Pharmacovigilance (CMRQPV) Director. 
 
The position
In this role, you will focus in managing and developing a team of Medical Advisors and other specialists to implement the medical strategy aligned with the affiliate business strategy. The main scope of accountabilities includes but is not limited to:

  • People management; Managing and developing high performing medical team by driving the 5 focus areas of medical affairs – insights for strategy, evidence generation, scientific dialogue, clinical care pathways, & organizational readiness. Effective performance management – Goal setting, performance dialogues, timely feedback, & structured coaching sessions to the team. Facilitate and drive a learning culture with a high focus on professional/personal development of all direct reports.
  • Strategy & Operations; Liaise with the field medical team for driving medical affairs strategy and explore synergies for one-medical voice as well as ensure the medical team drives business synergism. Manage & allocate team budget to activities aligned with affiliate business strategy and track expenditure on an ongoing basis by liaising with Finance team.
  • Scientific knowledge & key opinion leaders (KOLs) relationships; Ensure coordination of affiliate medical strategy on a product/therapy areas to convey fair & balanced scientific message to the medical community that supports the right usage of Novo Nordisk’s products. Maintain strong product & therapy area knowledge for self and team through internal training. Explore and suggest opportunities to increase professional relationships and stronger collaboration with Healthcare Professional (HCPs) Associations and key opinion leaders. Plan & guide the engagement and development for the portfolio.
  • Others; Explore innovation and digitalization in medical tactics through internal & external stakeholders & sources. Provide guidance to ensure resource allocation for trial related visits by discussing with relevant stakeholders. Ensure timely reporting of customer contacts per company standard operations procedure.

 
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Pharmacy, Healthcare, or related fields.
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in medical affairs with 2 years in people management with proven records.
  • Good knowledge in Thai pharmaceutical industry and regulations.
  • Good communication of English in both spoken and written.
