Novo Nordisk Global Business Services – is looking for Statistical Programmer, responsible for statistical programming and reviewing of SAS programs. The position is based in Bangalore.

 

About the department

The Clinical and Data Science (CDS) Global Business Service (GBS), Biostatistics and Programming department was established in August 2010. The team has a good blend of experience and fresh perspective and comprises experienced statisticians and programmers, who form the core of the team. The main purpose & objective is to ensure high quality in preparing and conducting statistical analysis in accordance with the project milestones and provide statistical support and expertise to all clinical development activities within Novo Nordisk. 

 

The position

As a Statistical Programmer, you will be responsible for statistical programming and review of SAS programs in the designated clinical trial. Further, On medium to high complexity trials, you will coordinate and provide input to the Senior Programmer/Trial Programmer for planning and coordination of programming tasks in the designated clinical trial globally, including contribution to programming task prioritisation within the trial. Furthermore, On low complexity trials, you will be responsible for planning and coordination of programming tasks and task prioritisation within the designated clinical trial.

 

You will be driving the risk modelling for anonymization of documents for public disclosure. Further support the NovoNordisk organization by providing insight & knowledge of anonymization. You will be responsible for driving the anonymization of data sets for independent researchers, external collaborators and external partnerships. Also, participate in initiatives for improving efficiency of anonymization activities. In collaboration with stakeholders and colleagues globally you will ensure timely, clear and proactive communication. This position requires you to be highly self-motivated, innovative, having a global mind-set, creative trouble shooting experience, with flexible attitude, and a problem solver.

 

Qualifications

Below are the required skills.

  • M.Sc in Life Science or comparable degree in computer science, Information Technology clinical information management or equivalent qualifications.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience working as a statistical programmer within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience with SAS programming and creating Adams datasets.
  • Experience with clinical database technologies, data models and advanced programming.
  • Extensive experience with collaboration across professional and regional borders.
  • Experience with communication and presentations.
  • Demonstrated experience with project management.
  • Flexible and constructive attitude towards change.
  • Team player capable of collaborating with multiple global stakeholders.
