Category:  Commercial Marketing
Location:

Bangalore, Karnataka, IN

Department: Operation GBS - Omnichannel Ops
Company: Novo Nordisk Global Business Services (GBS)

Do you enjoy solving complex analytics challenges, influencing stakeholders, and building robust data foundations that drive better decisions? If so, you may be the Tech Lead we're looking for at Novo.

About the department:
Operations GBS is at the heart of Novo Nordisk’s executional excellence and efficiency. Based in Bangalore, our department focuses on a wide range of operations-related activities, including marketed brands execution, medical affairs operations, omnichannel operations, commercial analytics, operational communications, customer fulfilment within the commercial supply chain, and sustainability. With a dynamic and collaborative atmosphere, we are committed to driving innovation and delivering exceptional results that make a difference in the lives of patients worldwide.

The position
As a Tech Lead - Engagement Analytics, you will act as a subject matter expert in web analytics and data implementation, supporting stakeholders across International Operations. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality data collection, analytics implementation, reporting, and insight generation across Novo websites and digital platforms.
Working at the intersection of business, technology, and analytics, you will drive analytics maturity by designing scalable solutions, improving data quality, and transforming digital behaviour data into actionable recommendations that support business objectives.

What you’ll do:

Your time will be split between data quality and implementation, reporting and in-sights, and advising stakeholders on how to get more value from website data.

  • Own the implementation ecosystem: Take ownership of global tag management and analytics implementation, with full hands-on responsibility for Adobe Experience Platform Data Collection, data layer setup, campaign tracking, configuration changes and SDR documentation.
  • Safeguard data quality: Validate existing tracking so Adobe Customer Journey Analytics and Adobe Analytics data is rich, meaningful and reliable, raise concerns early and spot opportunities to improve the data foundation.
  • Integrate third-party tools: Implement and troubleshoot scripts, pixels and integrations such as Hotjar, Meta Pixel and Google Ads, and monitor agency and vendor work, suggesting optimisations.
  • Turn data into decisions: Build dashboards and reports in Adobe Customer Journey Analytics and Adobe Analytics Workspace and share actionable insights from web and campaign data to inform engagement strategy discussions.
  • Advise and educate: Respond to support requests from offices worldwide, explain the pros and cons of different solution designs, and make analytics principles clear to people with limited data literacy.
  • Keep work moving: Keep the Engagement Analytics team informed on progress, involve the right experts to share the workload, and maintain processes that matter for compliance and efficiency.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • A master’s degree or above in a relevant area.
  • 8+ years of relevant international work experience in digital insights and data analytics.
  • Substantial hands-on experience with Adobe Customer Journey Analytics and Adobe Analytics, at master-user level.
  • Experience working with Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), Adobe Data Collection, and tag management solutions.
  • A deep understanding of, and genuine interest in, digital data collection, including data layers, tag management and campaign tracking.
  • A sense of storytelling when building dashboards, and excellent presentation skills.
  • Commercial understanding of KPIs and awareness of user journeys and key web-site objectives, with the ability to analyse data and give evidence-based recommendations.
  • Strong stakeholder management and project management knowledge, including the ability to bring others on board with new concepts, practices and approaches.
  • A proactive, solution-oriented and detail-focused approach, with good time-management skills.
  • Hands-on experience implementing third-party scripts and pixels, such as Hotjar, Meta Pixel or Google Ads, and maintaining a solution design reference (SDR).
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
