The Position

 

Medical Illustrator will be responsible for leading a team of graphic designers and developing technically accurate, high quality and corporate visual identity-compliant materials for internal and external medical communication, in line with modern medical communication and digitalisation requirements. Function as operational team lead with people management responsibility for graphic designers.

 

Create / format PowerPoint, Word and Excel documents used for internal and external medical communication based on inputs from the Global Medical Affairs team. Create branding materials, infographics, presentations, SharePoint, Degreed platforms, videos and HTML products using Figma for a range of internal and external medical communication based on inputs from the Global Medical Affairs team.

 

Effective communication and expectation setting with relevant stakeholders in the Regions & Operations teams regarding expected quality and timelines on delivery. Evaluate and recommend new methods, materials, and equipment for use in medical illustration. Follow standards and guidelines for consistency with corporate visual identity. Effectively follow review/approval process to obtain approvals and signatures for projects and create videos and explore opportunities for innovation in design. Drive virtual collaboration and leverage digital tools to develop and maintain strong remote relations. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the content design and content creation processes and tools.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in science/engineering.
  • Graphical design background with a solid understanding of medical communication.
  • Prerequisites to master the job are experience in the medical communications / pharmaceutical industry.
  • Approx. 7- 8 years of graphic design experience required.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects and priorities. Effectively follow the review/approval process to obtain project approvals and signatures.
  • Excellent planning and coordination skills
  • Authority and competence in making and presenting decisions.

Global Medical Affairs, GBS (GMA GBS) is an extension of the Global Medical Affairs team in Headquarters (HQ) in Denmark and Zurich, based out of Global Business Services (GBS), Bangalore, India. The team consists of highly motivated medical advisors, project managers, scientific advisors and publication managers working together with HQ, regions, and affiliates across the world. Our core competencies are communicating scientific and medical knowledge on our products to the external scientific community and across the organisation, delivering external medical events including in-house content development and project management and Publication planning.
