Purpose of the job:

The role is directly accountable for all strategic and operational TA activities across India. The scope of the role covers recruitments on all job levels and job categories and spans across all TA disciplines from employer branding, diversity & inclusion to early talent and to senior leadership roles..
Responsible for strategically orchestrating large- and small-scale TA initiatives across both regions.
Responsible for understanding LoB needs in the regions, able to translate business needs into TA strategies and tactics for the region as well as implement recruitment process improvements and creating efficiencies according to global TA CoE guidance.
Responsible for building TA capabilities in the region on an ongoing basis and in particular in the period of TA transformation, where the India Talent Acquisition Lead will be responsible in the successful implementation and integration of our new TA operating model across global TA.  
The person is responsible for building and maintaining strong relations the Head of P&O in the country as well as key LoB stakeholders across India and within global TA CoE. 
The role is also accountable for developing and motivating a team of 4 direct reports and creating a healthy and engaging atmosphere in the team, while ensuring high quality standards and timely services of all TA deliverables. 

 

Main job tasks
•    Lead TA team by setting a clear short and long- term strategy and execution plans for the region.
•    Build and enhance TA capabilities and ensure that the team is sufficiently equipped to skilfully manage stakeholders and candidates at all levels and from different parts of the business.
•    The scope of responsibility covers all TA disciplines: employer branding, early talent, volume recruitments as well as senior leader level recruitments for the entire region. 
•    Deliver regular status updates on the state and activities to key stakeholders
•    Minimize the use of external search agencies through introduction of referral programme
•    Engage with the Japan & APAC TA Head by proactively contributing to key initiatives and by sharing local developments as well as the challenges within the area of TA. 
•    Lead continuous improvement efforts in regards with recruitment strategies and processes and stay current on trends and innovative practices 
•    Monitor and deliver on global targets around effectiveness, timeliness, candidate quality, delivery of recruitment services & internal customer satisfaction across the team
•    Lead and monitor the team’s delivery on the agreed TA operating model (including; compliance, optimising sourcing channels, consistent management information, third party supplier management and talent pooling of passive candidates).
•    Implement and monitor consistency where possible in the operating approach (long lists, project plans, candidates' reports and campaign reviews)
•    Custodian of Novo Nordisk employer value proposition to ensure that NN’s proposition is conveyed in a compelling way across the recruitment life cycle and thereby enhance Novo Nordisk employer brand in the regions
•    Stay up-to-date with TA industry trends to ensure that the most relevant trends are piloted and implement in TA International
•    Manage external vendors always aiming at minimising their usage
•    Responsibility for regional TA budgets for India.
 

Experience:

•    Proven track record of creating business results by ensuring that Novo Nordisk attracts the right talent with the right capabilities at the right time.
•    5+ years of experience from a similar TA function in a global company 
•    5+ years documented track record of successfully managing relations with international stakeholders across regions 
•    Previous managerial experience is a strong advantage
•    Good business and organisational understanding
•    Excellent stakeholder management skills
•    Excellent presentation and communications skills
•    Ability to inspire and empower direct reports and peers
•    Solid written and oral communication skills
 

Education:

•    University Degree in relevant area
•    Master / MBA is a plus

 

About the department 
The Talent Acquisition Japan & Apac team will consist of approximately 10 recruiters located in India, Korea, Japan, Australia and Malaysia and together we support hiring for Novo Nordisk. We are supported by by an RPO team having sourcers (finding candidates) and administrators (managing systems and interview bookings) .  
We have a very diverse range of backgrounds, but we have all spent quite a few years making sure that the right jobs find the right people at the right time.
