The position
As a System Specialist I at Novo Nordisk, you will be responsible for the Corporate Facilities (CFA) IT systems, including PACS (Physical Access Control System), with the following responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for PACS-related issues, including user access, system integration, troubleshooting, performance and hardware functionality. Manage daily IT operations of PACS, such as resolving errors, security alert reviews, and physical inspection of hardware and inventory.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of system configurations, changes, and validation efforts
  • Work with compliance teams to ensure adherence to GxP, GDPR, NIS2, and other regulatory requirements, including change management and implementation processes. Ensure PACS compliance with security standards, data protection regulations, and organizational access policies.
  • Assist in integrating PACS with other security systems, like CCTV and alarm systems, and support solution owners by translating business requirements into technical specifications. Assess feasibility for system scalability, architecture, security, and performance for new features.
  • Collaborate with PACS vendors for issue resolution, system upgrades, and enhancements. Support projects such as commissioning PACS in new buildings or handling medium-sized upgrades.

 

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience, including expertise in handling system transitions and strong awareness of managing IT SOPs.
  • Should possess a strong technical background in IT infrastructure, including expertise in databases, networking, and server management—essentially covering the entire stack up to the OS level.
  • Must have hands-on experience in WinOS administration, basic networking, SSL, Azure, Active Directory, and databases (SQL).
  • Must have knowledge of ITIL frameworks, including Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes. Should also have experience in vendor management.
  • Knowledge in managing and supporting compliance to ensure all PACS-related activities adhere to GxP regulations and internal policies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including verbal and written communication. Ability to represent NN in relation with users and external stakeholders.

 

About the department
You will join our Digital Data (DD)&IT Staffs GBS team of professionals anchored in GBS Bangalore, collaborating with the Design & Deliver team on projects across the Staffs area. The team is responsible for managing day-to-day IT support, development, validation and testing of entire Quality Management System of Novo Nordisk, spanning across entire globe. The key objective is to ensure robust IT support to systems, which in turn ensures product quality and patient safety for Novo Nordisk.
