As Senior Veeva Vault Platform Architect, you will set the technical direction for the Veeva Vault platform that keeps regulated content moving across the business. You will design the integrations, plan the releases, set security requirements for GXP vaults hosted on the Veeva Platform and lead new Vault rollouts from configuration to adoption. Your work will help across the globe including India, Denmark and the USA deliver trusted, compliant technology that supports lasting health for our customers.

What you'll bring

You are an experienced IT professional who takes ownership, works independently and communicates clearly with internal teams and external vendors. To succeed here, you'll have:

• A BE, B.Tech or similar graduate degree in a relevant field, such as Software Engineering.
• 8+ years of relevant IT experience across specification, design, development, test, validation, documentation, implementation and maintenance of IT solutions in large organisations.
• In-depth knowledge of Veeva Vault configuration, design and management, especially security for Tier 1 content and metadata.
• 5+ years working on GxP Vault applications using Agile development.
• Experience working with multiple Vaults, for example Medical communications & Clinical, Vault quality , safety Commercial vaults.   
• A solid understanding of GxP documentation and application maintenance processes, and experience authoring and executing release documents (requirement specifications, IQ, PQ, test cases).
• Developer skills in any scripting language.
• Experience with incident, problem and change management (ITIL), requirements management and project management.
• Experience with Agile methodology, DevOps and Azure DevOps.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and confident written and spoken English.

Useful, but not essential:

• Basic understanding of AWS, Azure AD or another cloud computing platform, and of web and REST services and pharma domain experience with GxP quality management and quality processes such as CAPA.

What you'll do

• You will act as the senior architect for the Veeva Vault platform, providing technical leadership, architectural governance and strategic direction. From this foundation, you will:
• Design and review solutions to optimise the platform and detect risks early, including onboarding new Vaults and user bases, designing the security model for Tier 1 content and metadata, and configuring automated user provisioning through Veeva UPS.
• Lead the design, development and implementation of integrations between Veeva Vault and enterprise systems such as ERP, QMS, RIM, CRM and data platforms, analysing feasible upstream and downstream connections.
• Manage end-to-end Veeva Vault releases, covering impact analysis, environment readiness, validation, communication planning and closure.
• Lead new Vault application rollouts, ensuring proper configuration, validation, migration and adoption support.
• Develop and deploy new features and fixes across lifecycle and workflows, document search and indexing, content rendition and publishing to downstream applications, and maintain automated monitoring tools.
• Provide technical oversight and level-3 support, proactively monitoring incidents and problems, logging and following up on vendor tickets, and maintaining technical specifications in coordination with the support system manager.

• In Enterprise IT & Quality, colleagues work across the Novo value chain, staying close to stakeholders and helping deliver trusted technology, high quality and responsible ways of working. You will join the application-specific Corporate IT teams and work closely with the Veeva Vault system manager, Vault DevOps and technical teams.
• You will also collaborate with internal IT support teams, including Azure and Microsoft Entra and IT Security, and act as the point of contact with the Veeva vendor through the Veeva support portal and Veeva Connect. Working primarily with teams in Bangalore, Denmark and the USA, you will often set direction, deliver results across a wide cross-functional and international area, and may mentor colleagues in your area of speciality. You will also take ownership of the regular collaboration meetings between India and Denmark, keeping them effective.
