Department: Global Business Services (GBS) Supply Chain
Company: Novo Global Business Services (GBS)

Your impact begins here
As Sr IDP Professional, you will keep finished goods flowing to the markets that depend on them. You will own inventory corridors and safety stock levels, spot risks early and act before service levels are affected. By balancing stockout and overstock risks across the global network, you help affiliates plan with confidence and help people living with serious chronic diseases get the treat-ment they need, when they need it.

What you’ll bring

To succeed in this role, you bring:

  • A Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management (or equivalent) from a well-recognised institute.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in supply chain planning, inventory management or network roles.
  • Experience working directly with commercial affiliates and regions.
  • A strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain concepts (Plan–Make–Deliver).
  • Experience working in global planning setups.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP ECC/R3
  • Advanced use of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

What you’ll do

  • You will make sure the right inventory is in the right place at the right time, and that markets understand the trade-offs when supply is tight.
  • Own finished-goods inventory corridors and safety stock levels for your assigned markets, keeping service uninterrupted while balancing stockout and overstock risks across the network.
  • Monitor inventory, demand trends and capacity signals continuously, spotting risks early and triggering mitigation before service levels are affected.
  • Convert validated demand into shipment plans and late-stage packing instructions, keeping forward visibility on logistics and distribution risks so you can step in early.
  • Act as the key contact for affiliates and markets on inventory matters, aligning on demand priorities and trade-offs and explaining supply constraints clearly and in a way they can act on.
  • Manage inventory cases through structured ticketing: resolve issues at the lowest possible level and escalate only well-documented cases.
  • Work with planning, regional, brand and analytics teams to align plans, improve processes, track KPIs and support IDP model capabilities.

Who you’ll work with

  • You will join the Global Operational Planning team in the GSC&BD GBS unit in Bengaluru, India, part of Global Manufacturing & Supply. In Global Manufacturing & Supply, colleagues work across the value chain from drug and device development to marketed Novo products, scaling molecules, processes, devices and products for the people who need them.
  • The unit works with our headquarters in Denmark to consolidate supply chain activities and drive performance improvement. The team continuously improves our operational planning processes and systems to keep a balanced supply plan on a global scale.
  • Day to day, you will work with planning teams and the stakeholders responsible for actions, validate data and conclusions with them, and present insights to management. You will also partner with development teams on business dashboards. The atmosphere is dynamic and collaborative, with a strong emphasis on teamwork.

What you can expect here

You will work in a global setup where your expertise is valued and your voice is heard. You will be trusted to own your inventory decisions, and supported to perform at your best in a team that shares knowledge and moves together once a decision is made.

The role gives you room to grow: you will work across planning, regional, brand and analytics teams, present insights to management and partner with development teams on business dashboards, building new skills along the way.
