About the department
Global Finance GBS Bangalore was established in 2007, is currently responsible for supporting Accounting, Finance & Procurement, Financial Planning & Analytics (FP&A) for Headquarters, region Europe, North America, International Operations (IO) & GBS Bangalore. The main purpose of our existence is to provide superior service to our stakeholders consistently and add value to the processes in terms of standardization and efficiency.
The Position
This role will be responsible for designing and implementing data architecture, devise data visualization strategies, support Finance GBS in Power platform application and BI development. As a Senior Team Leader, you will also be involved in below mentioned responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a robust and scalable data architecture that supports the organization's data needs.
- Design data models, databases, and data integration solutions to ensure data accessibility, accuracy, and security.
- Lead the development of a comprehensive data visualization strategy aligned with business objectives and identify key data insights and develop visualization frameworks that effectively communicate complex information to stakeholders.
- Mentor and lead a team of data visualization specialists, providing guidance on best practices and fostering a culture of innovation.
- Drive the development and adoption of visualization standards, ensuring consistency and quality across all visual assets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field with good academic track record and grades.
- 7-10 years’ experience in data architecture, database design, and implementation, with a deep understanding of data modelling principles and practices.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms, with a strong portfolio demonstrating impactful visualizations.
- 3-5 years of leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and guide a team of data engineers, application developers and visualization specialists.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear and compelling visual narratives.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Good to have experience in cloud-based data solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of ETL processes, data warehousing, and data governance practices.
- Certifications in data architecture, visualization, or related fields.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and synthesizing skills (you know how to figure stuff out).
- Demonstrate capability to take ownership and accountability of deliverables assigned and deliver within tight deadlines.
- Curious and collaborative, comfortable working independently as well as in a team.
- Organized, able to multi-task and manage competing priorities in a demanding environment.
