The position
As a System Manager you are responsible for supervising the day-to-day usage, operation, and maintenance of DevOps tools. This is a collection of various tools that are used for developing software. Some of the tools are GxP tools. You also provide user training and support as needed and provide a single point of contact, liaison and escalation for all system and service-related matters.
You are entrusted for managing DevOps Tools where you will be responsible for managing the qualification activities, including all the system documentation creation, review/approval for the validation deliverables like User Requirements, System specifications, validation Plan, Qualification Plans, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Functional Risk Assessment, IQ/OQ/PQ Protocols, Traceability Matrix, Design Specs, and validation Summary Reports.
You will be entrusted with the following DevOps Tools responsibilities:

  • Responsible for operation, maintenance, security and compliance of both GxP and non-GxP DevOps Tools.
  • Responsible for user management on/off-boarding and user hygiene
  • Provide a single point of contact, liaison and escalation for all system and service-related matters.
  • Have subject matter expertise in Good IT Practice.
  • Following methods that are based on Good IT Practices and deliver effective solutions and quality.
  • Executing projects in Agile Methodology and storing/managing source code to streamline development process in Novo Nordisk (NN) and prepare, provide and develop the services in the SLA and manage the expectation of Line of Business (LoB)/Super users, Customers and users concerning the use of the services and systems.
  • Responsible for ensuring that existing services meet their service targets and Operational vendor coordination and negotiation. Communicate with external vendor to ensure timely resolution of incidents and problems.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, with a total of 10+ years of experience, including 7-8 years in system management within a GxP-regulated industry.
  • Strong management knowledge and documented GxP experience across multiple systems, with 6-8 years of relevant experience.
  • IT System management knowledge with experience in Change Management, Configuration Management, Release Management, and Incident & Problem Management.
  • Experience in Azure DevOps and GitHub, preferably as a system manager in the pharmaceutical industry and IT experience covering specifications, design, development or implementation of IT Solutions.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with excellent English proficiency (written/spoken), the ability to analyze and provide guidance on complex issues in a timely and structured manner, along with expertise in budget and contract management.

 

About the Department
DD&IT GBS was established in February 2010 as an integral part of DD&IT in HQ. From the beginning in 2010, the unit has grown to 500+ employees till date. The main role of DD&IT GBS is to 'manage' IT, which includes System Management, Project Management, Infrastructure Management, Compliance Management, Security Management, Process Management and Vendor Management. 

The position is based in the Software Engineering Platforms (SEP) team in GBS, this team is part of Digital Products & Software Engineering (DP&SE). In the role as a system manager for DevOps Tools you will be collaborating closely with the DevOps platform team in GITO, managing our DevOps tools for software development.
