About the Unit

Digital Data & IT GBS (Global Business Service) was established in February 2010 as an integral part of Digital Data & IT in HQ (Head Quarter). From the beginning in 2010, the unit has grown to 800+ employees till date. The main role of Global IT GBS (Global Business Service) is to 'manage' IT, which includes System Management, Project Management, Infrastructure Management, Compliance Management, Security Management, Process Management and Vendor Management. You will be a part of Cross IT Technologies team (xDD&IT Technologies).

 

The position
As a Senior Manager of Data Management & Analytics (DM&A), you will be responsible for delivery of the department. You will report to Head of xDD&IT Technologies and be part of xDD&IT Technologies Management Team.  Your primary responsibilities will be:

 

  • Managing enterprise datalake, NNEDH, advanced analytic platforms and AI/ML platform.  The platforms are managed in accordance with Agile Framework. The scope of anchored platforms covers Globally, Regional as well Department level.
  • Stakeholder Management: You will communicate with DMA Leadership teams in HQ and NNI and xDD&IT leadership teams.
  • People Management – Provides leadership while managing people and developing talent involving niche and critical areas such as Data Architects, AWS Cloud Developers, Data Engineers, ML Engineers and Data Scientists. Set directions and define future development needs in the organisation based on the xDD&IT and DMA  strategies.

 

This position is responsible to manage the team of Functional and technical experts along with business deliverables. This position will be fully responsible for all deliveries out of the department across the Novo Nordisk value chain.  The position will work in collaboration with Head of DM&A Novo Nordisk HQ and NNI.

 

The unit will constitute of experienced Developers, Data Architects, Data Engineers, Data Scientists and Specialists who will work across Novo Nordisk value chain.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Business impact: Ensure overall efficient and effective delivery
  • Budget management: Overall responsible for the people budget of ~15 mDKK per year
  • People management: Overall management of the department including 27 internal resources 10 external resources who deliver application development and support services across Cross IT Solutions landscape
  • Vendor management: Establish and sustain excellent relationship IT Vendors to ensure that delivery expectations and communication alignment are managed
  • Communication: Establish and sustain excellent relationship with Key stakeholders across NN especially in HQ, Business Areas to ensure stakeholders are involved in key decision making, delivery expectations and communication alignment are managed
  • Governance: Manage IT deliveries according to ITSMM governance model and procedures (QMS)
  • Reputation: Professional reputation and respected on all levels and across NN organisation
  • Results: Ability to create business improvements for Global IT and its customers across NN organisation

 

Qualifications
We Expect you to hold the below skills and knowledge

 

  • Masters or Post graduate degree field in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration combined with additional relevant IT and business experience
  • ITIL Foundation Certified in IT Service Management
  • SAFE Agile Certified
  • 15+ years of relevant domain knowledge within e.g., IT Operations, IT Systems, IT Quality, IT technology and Project Management
  • 8+ years of people management and leadership experience
  • +8 years of people management and leadership experience Pharma or relevant industry experience preferred
  • Exceptional team leader with integrity, confidence and composure
  • Self-managed with a positive outlook, strong personal drive and leadership skills
  • Excellent writing, verbal, presentation, communication and consensus building skills.
  • Passion for excellence with a concise, precise and effective approach to problem solving and decision making
  • High cultural sensitivity and ability to work across cultures
