About the department
In Corporate Procurement at Novo Nordisk, we build strategies, innovate, and execute improvement projects to optimize the global indirect spend related to categories such as marketing services, professional services, travel, IT, and R&D. The Digital Procurement Delivery team in Bangalore is a newly established team, created to support the growth in our sourcing pipeline and is responsible for executing digital sourcing activities in our advanced digital sourcing tool across multiple categories. The team works closely with our Source to Contract(S2C) Excellence team in Denmark. The position:

As a Senior Manager in Digital Procurement Delivery, you will be building and leading a team of experienced e-sourcing experts driving digital sourcing activities in our advanced e-sourcing tool (Coupa Sourcing Optimization, CSO). We are seeking a leader with a strong service mentality, and you will need to ensure cross category collaboration and service delivery to the organization with high stakeholder satisfaction. You will be working hand-in-hand with our S2C Excellence team in Denmark for opportunity identification and value creation to deliver digital procurement execution services to across the globe.

You will lead the team towards the ambition of leading digital procurement delivery and expanding from digital sourcing delivery to a broader digital procurement scope. You need to help identify possibilities within the digital delivery sphere; new areas to be supported and then work in close collaboration with the team in Denmark work on realizing those.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Lead and mentor a dedicated team focused on executing digital procurement activities, particularly in e-sourcing (Coupa Sourcing Optimization).
  • Ensure compliance with the procurement guidelines and procedures. Partner closely with Source to Contract Excellence and other global stakeholders.
  • Monitoring and analyzing performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
  • Drive best in class digital procurement execution practices. Providing training, coaching, and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Build and develop a team that possesses expertise in category sourcing, digital strategies, and bid analytics.
  • Identify digital trends within area of responsibility and ensure what we offer is best in class and in alignment with the overall strategy.

 

Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with:

  • A master’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, International Business, IT Administration, or a related field from a top university with excellent results.
  • A minimum of 10 years of successful leadership experience in a global organisation.
  • Over 15 years of experience in source-to-contract execution.
  • In-depth knowledge of eProcurement tools, preferably Coupa.
  • Extensive experience across various procurement categories and a solid understanding of procurement processes.
  • Strong stakeholder management and exceptional communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Prior experience in sourcing process automation using various digital tools.
  • Proven experience in building a new organisation and driving successful change initiatives.
  • Prior experience working in a large multi-national organisation in a cross-cultural environment collaborating with global stakeholders.
