Your new role
As Senior Manager CVD, you will drive Therapeutic Area performance for CDC India by providing strategic trial insights, leading portfolio planning and execution, and ensuring operational excellence across clinical trial activities. You will oversee execution excellence strategy, site selection, and study readiness while fostering cross-functional collaboration with regional, clinical, and commercial teams to ensure alignment with global objectives.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering country Therapeutic Area strategic insights to the region, partnering with CMMs and regional leads to analyse market dynamics, highlight trial design challenges, recruitment risks, and performance issues with actionable solutions
- Leading internal planning and ensuring smooth execution of the trial portfolio, including site activation, patient journey mapping, enrolment delivery, and proactive management of study mitigation plans
- Providing strategic leadership for the TA unit function, driving performance management, coaching direct reports, and consistently researching and implementing innovative people development approaches
- Adapting and executing the Global Recruitment Planning and Execution Strategy within CDC, overseeing recruitment performance against targets and providing bottom-up insights on capacity and challenges
- Leading strategic coordination across CDC in close collaboration with CMMs, Medical, Commercial, and Market Access teams to align on portfolio planning, site selection, and trial execution
- Ensuring high-quality execution of clinical trial activities in compliance with ICH-GCP, regulatory requirements, and internal SOPs, while fostering a process-oriented mindset across the team

Within Research & Development, CDC India plays a critical role in delivering clinical trial excellence across multiple therapeutic areas. You will join a team responsible for translating global clinical strategies into local execution, working closely with investigators, key opinion leaders, and cross-functional partners to ensure trials are delivered with speed, quality, and patient-centricity. Your leadership will directly influence how we bring innovative treatments from pipeline to patients across the region.
Your skills & qualifications
We're looking for a strategic and experienced clinical operations leader who thrives in complex, multi-stakeholder environments. You'll bring with you:
- A bachelor’s degree in life sciences or related field (Master's/PhD preferred) and 15+ years of experience within relevant Clinical Operations roles (CRA, Project Manager, People Manager, or Operations Manager)
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex, multi-country clinical trial operations with strategic oversight, including expertise in portfolio planning, resource allocation, and recruitment strategy design
- Strong decision-making skills under uncertainty, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment across matrix organisations by managing competing priorities and facilitating consensus without direct authority
- Deep understanding of therapeutic area landscapes, clinical development processes, regulatory frameworks (ICH-GCP, local regulations), and proven ability to interpret scientific and operational data to inform strategy
- A proven track record in building and managing high-performing, agile teams across regions, with strong expertise in talent development, mentoring, and people leadership
- Exceptional communication skills to engage internal teams and external stakeholders including KOLs and advocacy groups, combined with the ability to synthesise complex data into actionable insights for leadership
- Expertise in advanced analytics and digital technologies to assess performance metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and leverage data-driven insights for trial management and strategic decision-making
