About the department

You will be joining the Global Finance GBS Bangalore team, which was established in 2007. Our department supports Accounting, Finance & Procurement, and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) for Headquarters, Europe, North America, International Operations (IO), and GBS Bangalore. We strive to provide superior service to our stakeholders consistently and add value to processes through standardization and efficiency.

 

The position

As a Senior Associate I at Novo Nordisk, you will:

  • Handle travel and expense management accounting and query support, along with related reporting.
  • Support front office for assigned affiliates and fulfil targets set by the Associate Manager and Finance GBS Management.
  • Address and resolve incoming queries on expense management processes and policy clarifications in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Manage assigned activities for different regions such as Europe, US, and China. Maintain a customer-focused and service-oriented mindset.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of Access Management. Work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Schedule and anchor weekly and monthly calls with stakeholders. Handle ad hoc requests from customers. Collaborate with stakeholders to drive process improvements.
  • Act as a backup when team members are absent. Maintain 100% quality in all activities. Build good working relationships with stakeholders.

 

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Commerce (or equivalent).
  • Good academic track record and grades.
  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience in accounting/economy function.
  • Experience working with Travel and Expense systems – preferably Concur Expense.
  • Experience working with ERP systems – preferably SAP.
  • Strong communication skills – including English fluency.
  • Good IT skills (MS Office). Experience working with Travel and Expense in a global company.
  • Flexibility, especially around month end. Thorough and responsible nature.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills. Team worker. Ability to remain calm in a hectic environment.
