About the department 

The Global Information Security Advisory department is based in Digital, Data and IT (DD&IT) in Denmark. You will be part of a global information security community with colleagues located primarily in India, Denmark, and USA. Our team consists of leading experts in various areas ranging from network security, white hat hacking, cloud security, cryptography, security operations, Acquisitions & Integrations, to manufacturing security and security risk management and governance. Global Information Security is partnering with the line of business across the value chain to build security into the business processes. This is done in collaboration with partner and specialist in other areas including Enterprise Architects and Data Specialist. As security partners we engage to understand the direction and priorities in line business to identify risks and manage these in collaboration with our stakeholders. We have security partners working in different parts of the value chain.

The position 

As an IT Security Analyst at Novo Nordisk, you will: 

  • Monitor and manage IT security across the organization, including analyzing logs and vulnerabilities from systems. Manage potential IT security incident notifications and collaborate with regional security responsible across Novo Nordisk. 

  • Be the interface to Novo Nordisk by handling emails coming into the Global Security Operations (GSO) Mailbox. Contribute and support the Vulnerability Management Office (VMO) in the Critical Vulnerability Response (CVR) process. 

  • Collaborate with the GSO Data Analytics, Detections, and Automation track to reduce false positives in the SIEM. Support Global IT Security projects and contribute to process improvements. 

  • Analyze and oversee suspicious and malicious emails coming in via the Phish alarm solution. Follow up on IT security incidents raised as part of the GSO Daily analysis process. 

  • Interact with GSO operations in Denmark and the US, as well as customers at all levels of the organization. Participate in Incident Response (IR) drills and adhere to the Major IT Security Incident Response Process (MSIRP) when required. 

 

Qualifications 

To be successful in this role, you should have: 

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering with relevant IT and business experience. 

  • 6+ years of core experience working within IT security, with at least 4 years of incident response experience. 

  • Good understanding of IT security principles and experience with SIEM (SPLUNK or any other technology). Must have experience in intrusion prevention, vulnerability management and threat intelligence. 

  • Knowledge of anti-virus, network security solutions, and enterprise networks. 

  • Knowledge of cloud like AWS, Azure or GCP is a plus. 

  • Good to have Security certifications like CEH etc. 

  • Considerable personal impact by demonstrating high integrity, flexibility in workplace, change adaptation and superior collaborator mentality. 

  • Self-managed, strong personal drive and desire to learn and enhance skills. 

  • Excellent in stakeholder management and communication skills- written and verbal.
