Scrum Master for Global IT operations

We are looking for a skilled & passionate scrum master to help drive the digital transformation of Novo Nordisk. You will be part of an agile core team for Novo Nordisk Global IT Operations to succeed with an ambitious agile transformation of our entire business process landscape.

About the department

The position is based in Global IT Operations (GITO) - an area with 200+ employees distributed across more than 25 countries, managing our infrastructure operations and digital workplace services. 

The mission of Global IT Operations, Global IT GBS is to manage and provide infrastructure and technical operational services for IT systems and applications across Novo Nordisk. These services primarily involve, daily operations, support, system maintenance, system releases, projects and LoB activities. Global IT Operations is located in Bangalore, India. The department works in sync with the head quarter organization providing services across Novo Nordisk.

 

We are currently on a journey applying agile ways of working in our organisation, and our work will be delivered according to the SAFe framework with agile teams running iterations. The SCRUM masters are key in ensuring good dynamics in the agile team, and guiding the teams to working in the SAFe agile framework.

 

The position

As a scrum master, you will become responsible for facilitating, coaching and supporting one or more of our agile delivery teams and will be working both independently and in close collaboration with first and foremost the product owner but also our business owners, technical architects and team members. If you enjoy interacting with people, guiding your team in an inclusive and trusting manner, then you are probably a good candidate for the position.Your role as scrum master is important to Novo Nordisk. The agile way of working will have top priority and there are full support from senior management to implement, adapt, check and adjust to agile principles and new ways of working in Global IT Operations. 

 

The main responsibilities in the scrum master position are:

You will be an agile champion for both your teams as well as Global IT Operations, help your agile team members and PO to reach their goals, coaching and leadership. You will Keep track of and help solve impediments and escalate if necessary and help the team manage their progress via transparent backlog and board overviews.Help the team and other roles prepare and align expectations before and during events.

 

You will drive teams, vendors and customers in Novo Nordisk’s Agile way of working incl. Agile Delivery Model, Azure DevOps and others and be a change ambassador to drive the learning culture and agile mindset in Novo Nordisk.And of course, be an active and engaged colleague who enjoys working closely with people, and have a genuine interest in getting to know your colleagues in the Novo Nordisk GITO organisation

 

The position is in Bangalore, India, however, you will be working with global teams and may sometimes need to work and engage with agile delivery teams distributed across different time-zones.

 

Qualifications

We are first and foremost looking for someone who is passionate about agile and the journey there.

 

You have a bachelor (B.Sc.) or master’s degree (M.Sc.) in business administration, engineering, computer science, or other relevant fields with a work experience of 10+ Years of overall experience.We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 1-3 years of documented experience in agile methodologies. You preferably have experience from working within a SAFe framework.

 

Ideally, you have an understanding of the infrastructure and operations domain area and can bring that experience to Novo Nordisk.

You are motivated by challenging assignments, you absorb new knowledge quickly, and you are always open for developing new competencies.

Independence, cross-cultural understanding, and fluency in written and spoken English are essential in combination with strong change management and communication skills.
