The Position

As a Public Affairs - Trainee, you will:

  • Advocate for Public Affairs strategic plans and align them with Novo Nordisk India’s strategy related to diabetes and rare diseases.
  • Manage and implement public affairs initiatives at state and NGO levels.
  • Liaise with government officials to foster strategic partnerships and policy development.
  • Develop and monitor intelligence on the public affairs landscape, including healthcare system changes and competitive access.
  • Drive and execute Public Affairs plans based on local needs and Novo Nordisk India’s strategy.
  • Collaborate closely with public affairs teams in India, APAC, and IO on various projects.
  • Implement strategic plans for policy engagement relevant to the company’s business.
  • Engage with public officials, payers, academics, and other key stakeholders.
  • Manage partnership opportunities with key stakeholders.
  • Support future public-private partnership (PPP) work with state and central governments related to diabetes and rare diseases.
  • Lead the planning and implementation of CDB projects, including defining scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Develop innovative healthcare programmes and campaigns to expand Novo Nordisk’s reach.

 

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

Need to have:

  • MBA with 0-2 years of experience, preferably in Health Care, Medical, or pharmaceutical domain.
  • Freshers (0-2 years) are welcome to apply.
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to develop and sustain collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in public relations, government relations, or investor relations.
  • Knowledge of public affairs strategies and healthcare systems.
  • Ability to innovate and drive new approaches in a rapidly evolving field.

 

About the department

You will join the Corporate Affairs team at Novo Nordisk. Our department is responsible for maintaining and enhancing positive relations with external audiences, including the general public, shareholders, investors, and government officials. We focus on influencing public opinion, government policy, and legislative direction to improve the organisation’s regulatory and economic environments. Our team actively engages with communities to address social, economic, and environmental challenges, promoting Novo Nordisk’s image positively. The position is based at our headquarters, where we foster a collaborative and innovative atmosphere.
