About the department
The GSC&BD GBS unit is in Bengaluru, India, with our headquarters in Denmark. We are focused on consolidating supply chain activities and driving performance improvement. As part of the Global Operational Planning team, our role involves continuous improvement of our operational planning processes and systems to ensure a balanced supply plan on a global scale. The atmosphere is dynamic and collaborative, with a strong emphasis on teamwork.
The position
As a Supply Chain Project Manager within Global Operational Planning (GOP) Bangalore, you will lead and deliver a portfolio of projects and initiatives that shape how we plan and supply medicines on a global scale. You will partner with stakeholders across functions and geographies to translate strategic priorities into well-executed programmes with measurable outcomes.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading assigned projects end-to-end from initiation through to closure ensuring outcomes are delivered on time, within scope and to the defined quality bar
- Developing detailed project plans, milestones, timelines and resource requirements, and coordinating workstreams and dependencies to ensure timely delivery
- Analysing existing GOP processes to identify gaps and improvement opportunities, then designing and implementing solutions that enhance efficiency, quality and consistency
- Engaging senior stakeholders and cross-functional partners to secure alignment, resolve blockers and build support for GOP initiatives
- Identifying risks early, developing mitigation plans and managing risk and issue resolution through the project lifecycle
- Designing, deploying and tracking project KPIs, preparing status updates and presenting progress transparently to senior leadership
- Contributing to the design and execution of GOP's broader process transformation agenda shaping how the function operates over the medium term
Qualifications:
We are looking for someone who brings structured thinking, stakeholder confidence and a genuine drive to deliver.
You will bring with you:
- A Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering or a related field; a Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) is preferred
- 7+ years of experience in project management, supply chain, operations, consulting or a related field
- Proven experience leading cross-functional projects end-to-end within a complex, matrixed organisation with strong skills in planning, governance and delivery
- Prior experience in management consulting is preferred, with a track record of structuring complex problems and delivering to senior audiences
- Experience working with senior stakeholders and preparing material for leadership forums; prior exposure to supply chain, planning or operations contexts is an advantage
- A high degree of independence and judgement you structure work, unblock is-sues and drive projects to outcome, escalating decisions in a structured and timely way
