About the department
Part of GCM DP RoW Novo Nordisk’s Global Manufacturing Services (GMS) organization, GCM DP RoW supports the establishment of sustainable manufacturing capabilities to strengthen and supplement the internal Novo Nordisk network capacity or to establish manufacturing in markets where a local presence is required. 

 


The position
As Project Manager – QC Laboratory, you will act as Work Package Owner for the QC Laboratory aseptic manufacturing scope across one or more of Novo Nordisk's strategic programmes in the APAC region. This is a senior position with high visibility, where you will provide technical, quality and project leadership in support of local CMO partners ensuring alignment with Novo Nordisk Quality standards and regulatory requirements throughout technology transfer, laboratory readiness, analytical method transfer, and ramp-up to operations.

 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as Work Package Owner for the QC Laboratory, representing Novo Nordisk towards local CMO(s) and coordinating QC Laboratory technology transfer and analytical method transfer activities
  • Maintaining solid oversight of the method transfer process to enable effective co-ordination and decision-making, while the QC AMSAT team performs the actual analytical method transfers
  • Supporting QC Laboratory design, setup, qualification and validation readiness
  • Providing guidance, training and mentoring to local partner(s) in line with Novo Nordisk standards
  • Safeguarding compliance with EU GMP, FDA and Novo Nordisk Quality requirements and local regulatory expectations
  • Managing milestones, risks and interfaces with other work packages across the structured programme governance model
  • Supporting the QC Laboratory ramp-up until stable routine operation is achieved

 

The role is primarily dedicated to the India localisation programme, with secondary support for remaining APAC localisation programmes. The position is based in India (Bangalore or Hyderabad), with frequent travel (5–10 days per month) to partners in Hyderabad, Dehradun and Ahmedabad, and may evolve to include travel to CMOs across APAC or an expatriate assignment. Office presence is activity based, with a high level of flexibility for remote working.

 

Qualifications:
We're looking for a Senior professional who thrives in complex, cross-functional environments and is energised by building laboratory capabilities from the ground up.

 

You'll bring with you:

  • An advanced degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Engineering or a similar discipline
  • Strong experience within QC Laboratories, including analytical methods, validation and GMP compliance
  • Proven experience with technology transfer and QC Laboratory readiness
  • Solid project management experience in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to guide and influence partners at all levels
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken
