Your new role

As Project Lead for our Loss of Exclusivity (LOE) initiative, you'll orchestrate a comprehensive program that prepares our global organisation and regional affiliates for market shifts while maintaining competitive advantage. This is a strategic role that sits at the intersection of data, intelligence, organisational readiness, and global execution—where your work directly influences how successfully Novo Nordisk navigates one of its critical portfolio transitions.

 

  • Build and maintain robust data collection frameworks, dashboards, and feedback mechanisms that track market landscapes across markets, ensuring leadership and affiliates have real-time, actionable insights to support decision-making.
  • Develop and operationalize competitive intelligence strategies, including CI dashboards and comprehensive reporting on generic alternatives, competitor pricing, market share dynamics, and emerging trends in focus markets
  • Drive organisational readiness initiatives across the company and regions, building the capabilities and competencies required for post-LOE success, including defining metrics and KPIs to measure preparedness
  • Co-lead the rollout and continuous improvement of the guidance tool through training sessions with regional teams, ensuring adoption, customization for local markets, and seamless system integration
  • Design and execute a comprehensive communication and training program to build expertise and maintain engagement across the organization
  • Identify synergies between brands and markets (shared training, combined research, joint engagements) to maximize efficiency and drive collaborative problem-solving
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conduct scenario planning, identify organizational gaps, and implement mitigation strategies that position Novo Nordisk for success in a competitive generic environment

 

Your new department

Finance, Legal & Global Solutions enables Novo Nordisk to fulfil its purpose by safeguarding the business, providing corporate infrastructure, and driving value creation. Our 2,300-strong team is primarily based in Denmark, India, and Mexico.

You'll join the Operations GBS unit aligned with International Operations (IO), focused on executional excellence. We drive efficiency across Commercial and Brand Management, Commercial Analytics, Communications, Supply Chain Customer Fulfilment, Medical Affairs, Omnichannel Operations, and Sustainability. Within this unit, the International Marketing & Commercial (IM&C) team supports IO's strategic focus on "speed, simplicity, and frontline execution" to achieve patient reach, sales growth, market share, and innovation goals.

Our Cardiometabolic Marketing team, part of IM&C, bridges global strategy and local execution. We strengthen brand marketing and commercial performance across our obesity and diabetes portfolio, driving frontline excellence and strategic capabilities that help our markets accelerate performance in the competitive cardiometabolic landscape.

 

Your skills & qualifications

You bring proven experience navigating complex, multi-stakeholder programs in pharmaceutical or life sciences environments. You're a strategic thinker who combines analytical rigor with business acumen, and a communicator who can translate complex challenges into clear action.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Minimum 11+ years of relevant experience across brand communications, training, marketing, strategic planning, or related functions within the life sciences or pharmaceutical industry; Candidates with demonstrated experience managing Loss of Exclusivity (LOE) or patent cliff scenarios will be given additional consideration. Consulting experience is a strong plus.
  • Master's degree or MBA qualification from reputed institutes in a relevant discipline; bachelor's degree with distinguished results or equivalent experience is acceptable
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated experience developing communication strategies and training materials for global audiences
  • Proven project management capabilities, including project planning, scoping, stakeholder management, delivering quality outputs on timeline, and leading across organisational boundaries without formal authority
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build alignment across global functions, regions, and affiliates; you navigate complex organizational dynamics with ease and foster partnership mindsets
  • A demonstrated passion for driving change and continuous improvement, with the resilience to manage ambiguity and competing priorities in a rapidly evolving environment
