About the department

Global Medical Affairs, GBS is an extension of the Global Medical Affairs, headquartered in Denmark (HQ), and is part of Global Business Services (GBS), Bangalore, India. The team consists of highly motivated global scientific advisors, project managers, graphic designers and publication managers working together with the Global Medical Affairs department in Søborg, Denmark.

Our core competencies include communicating scientific and medical knowledge on our products to the external scientific community and across the organisation, in-house content development, project management and publication planning for external medical events.


The position

As a Medical Illustrator in the medical communications team in Global Medical Affairs, you will be responsible for the timely preparation and delivery of visually appealing and accurate medical communication materials across medical affairs focus areas to internal and external stakeholders. The main technical requirements are expertise in Microsoft PowerPoint and the Adobe Suite; a large part of the role is designing and preparing medical communication materials in PowerPoint and InDesign.


You will have an opportunity to work in a global team and collaborate with colleagues on strategically important activities across Global Medical Affairs. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare slide decks and pdf documents that will be used to communicate scientific content to internal and external stakeholders.


This position requires you to be highly creative, flexible and have learning mindset.




Below skills are required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in science/engineering
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of graphical design experience required
  • A good understanding of medical communication
  • Knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology and medical illustration principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe suite. 3D Studio Max experience desired
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Fluency in both spoken and written English
