Shape how millions of people living with diabetes gain access to next-generation therapies. In this role, you'll translate payer insights into access strategies that bring our pipeline to patients faster – and influence decisions that span the entire asset lifecycle.
Your new role
As Global Market Access Lead within Diabetes& Access, you will lead defined Value Strategy & Payer Engagement workstreams and contribute directly to asset-level market access strategy. You'll partner across Market Access domains, Clinical Development, Medical, Commercial and affiliates to ensure that payer perspectives are embedded from early pipeline development through launch and lifecycle management.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Leading defined Market Access workstreams such as value tool development, access readiness tracking, payer insight initiatives and lifecycle management activities
- Contributing to asset-level market access strategy, including Target Access Profile (TAP) development, HTA planning components, payer value narratives and early access business case inputs
- Managing vendors, timelines, budgets and approval processes for access tools and materials
- Supporting regions and affiliates with payer negotiation materials, argumentation frameworks and access tool adaptation
- Leading payer research workstreams – synthesising payer needs, access barriers and value drivers into actionable insight
- Driving cross-functional alignment on early access strategy, evidence needs and development priorities
- Delivering internal trainings and knowledge-sharing sessions on access tools and payer value topics
Your new department
In Product & Portfolio Strategy we drive commercial strategy, medical affairs and business development across all therapy areas. We act as a connector and compass, guiding the new Novo Nordisk portfolio for sustained competitiveness upstream, and maximising portfolio potential through successful commercial strategies and competitive launches downstream.
Within Product & Portfolio Strategy sits Global Market Access and Pricing – Diabetes& Access. Our team defines, shapes and operationalises payer-relevant value and access strategies for Novo Nordisk's diabetes therapies across the asset lifecycle. You'll join a collaborative, globally connected team where your work directly influences how innovative treatments reach the millions of people living with diabetes worldwide.
Your skills & qualifications
We're looking for a Market Access professional who combines analytical rigour with strong stakeholder influence and thrives in a matrix, cross-functional environment. You'll bring with you:
- A Master's degree or higher in Health Economics, Public Health, Pharmacy, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health Services Research, or a closely related quantitative/health discipline – with formal training or demonstrated experience in Market Access, Value Strategy, Payer Engagement or Health Economics
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in Market Access / VSPE or related functions, with demonstrated contribution to asset-level access activities, payer value tools and affiliate support
- Solid understanding of payer systems, HTA processes and reimbursement pathways across key markets, including launch preparation, HTA submissions and negotiation dynamics
- Working knowledge of Target Access Profile (TAP) development, payer research methods, and how to integrate pricing, HEOR and payer evidence into access business cases
- Proven ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment, leading defined workstreams independently while aligning with senior strategy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate payer insights into compelling access strategies and value narratives in fluent English
