The position 
As a Manager at Novo Nordisk, you will be handling a direct team of five with an overall span of 20+ and oversee month-end close activities for NNAS, holding companies, and GBS, including the capitalization of major projects. Managing stakeholder interactions, addressing concerns, and implementing feedback and Facilitating collaboration between HQ Corporate and Finance GBS on strategic initiatives. You will be entrusted with the below responsibilities:

  • Managing the overall performance of the Accounting HQ & GBS. Coordinating and contributing to accounting processes and projects with material financial statement impact.
  • Ensuring monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close schedules are met. Identifying and implementing opportunities for process improvements across Novo Nordisk entities.
  • Driving initiatives identified as part of the Global Finance Strategy, particularly in the Record & Close process within the RtR function.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal controls and external policies, including SARBOX and supporting statutory audits and coordinating the audit process for accounting areas.
  • Developing team leads and business analysts, setting operational goals, and providing timely feedback.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree from reputed institute with 12-13 years of experience working within Finance offshoring centers and minimum 4+ years as an associate manager/manager for any Finance process in an offshoring center.
  • Strong accounting and analytical skills along with proven project management and change management skills.
  • Strong people and performance management skills with experience working with global stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of SAP is a must along with LEAN/Six Sigma experience.
  • Fluent in oral and written English and should have a collaborative, flexible, and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Proactive and self-driven with a desire to influence.
