About the department


Global IT GBS is the unit responsible for global IT systems at Novo Nordisk including the operation, maintenance, support and development of these systems. The systems are used on a global scale by all areas of the business from R&D to Sales and are critical to the execution of key business processes such as development, manufacturing, sales, finance, etc. 


The position


In this role as a Manager, you will be involved primarily in people management which includes coaching & mentoring, caretaking and mentoring people, reward and performance management, FTE Budgeting. while also hiring key talents when neeededpeople career development. You will assist build personal, professional & agile specific competencies while facilitating cross-organisational knowledge sharing and supporting transformation initiatives along with other admisistrative duties. in the team.  In cooperation with other People Leaders you will ensure the execution of the people side of the IT strategy, help identify individual and team training needs, help build training plans for individuals and Agile teams and help build and maintain domain knowledge

You will also be responsible for “Operation (System & Platform) Management” for a portfolio of Global IT systems under Global People & Organisation/HR umbrella.

The IT systems in the portfolio are global with users spread across all regions of Novo Nordisk. Hence, the position requires a high degree of interaction with stakeholders at manager and senior management levels across all regions, especially International Operations, USA and Headquarters in Denmark. In addition, vendors/suppliers are in multiple locations, primarily USA, Europe, China, Denmark and India.




We expect you to hold the below skills and knowledge;

  • Overall 10+ years of experience in IT Operations
  • 3+ years leadership experience from similar job
  • Certified SAFe Agilist
  • Experience in change management and coaching is preferred
  • GXP, compliance, SF (Success Factor), system management experience would be an added advantage
  • Displaying an inclusive mindset and respect the diversity in others
  • Being a good communicator
