The Position

As the Manager of Clinical Quality GBS, your responsibilities include overseeing strategic development and operational management for the department. You will be accountable for quality-related activities within Clinical Quality space. In addition, you manage a team of professionals who supports with editorial support for Development EVP area. You will oversee talent development, manage performance and foster a culture of engagement and growth for a high functioning matrix team. As a leader within Clinical Quality management and NNQ-GBS management teams, you will be committed to driving excellence in all aspects of clinical quality.
 

You will be entrusted to fulfil the following responsibilities (not limited to):

  • Set global quality standards for clinical quality organization, ensure compliance, and build strong partnerships with stakeholders, particularly R&D management and NN Quality in Bangalore, to achieve business results.
  • Ensure global, competitive, uniform QMS and QA support and maintain quality processes.
  • Build and maintain department competencies for QA-related activities. Ensure audit/inspection readiness for supported processes. Collaborate with R&D areas, NN Quality and R&D quality departments.
  • Build strong and trusted stakeholder relationships.
  • As a Manager, your role is to manage the team efficiently, maintain quality and capacity, and inspire your team to deliver specific business priorities. Focus on talent management, development, and engagement, and promote a healthy working environment that embraces change and continuous improvement.
  • Manage performance conversations, people-related tasks, and hire the right talent for the team and organization. Promote team spirit, resolve conflicts, and share knowledge within the team. Collaborate with HRBP and other members of the management team to foster a culture of great engagement and become a high-performing team. Finally, perform and approve HR-related activities.

Finally, it is important to ensure that all legal requirements and Novo Nordisk agreements related to health and safety are complied with to guarantee a safe and healthy working environment.  To ensure its success it is important to collaborate smoothly with other relevant departments and have adequate process insights to be an effective sparring partner.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree or equivalent within scientific studies and preferably trained or education on any of the relevant areas like Leadership, Project management, Organizational change management
  • 10+ years of pharma industry experience, with 3+ years in within QMS related activities is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of people management experience preferred
  • Global collaboration experience
  • Possess direct but diplomatic communication skills, be flexible and adaptable, and a good ambassador of the company's values
  • Strong analytical skills are essential for advising on complex multidisciplinary areas,
  • Have strong international networking capability and the power to influence, proactively drive change and/or process improvement, and have excellent communication and presentation skills in English

R&D Quality is part of the Development Organisation and plays a vital role in supporting the drug and device development process to ensure high quality as well as fit-for-purpose processes throughout the entire value chain. We at R&D Quality support LOBs with quality processes/systems and Quality Management Systems activities across Regulatory Affairs and Global Safety, Clinical reporting and Clinical Data Sciences. We provide quality and compliance support to the organization being QAs for deviations, SOPs, change controls, quality monitoring, process reviews, system validations and we are quality partners in transformational projects within Development & Research and Early Development areas. We work in a global setting with focus on delivering viable products that make a difference to patients and ultimately benefit society.
