About the department

The job is based in Novo Nordisk CMU CDS GBS, Bangalore. However, your stakeholders will be primarily based in Clinical Drug Development in Denmark, and specifically in Clinical Meeting Management. From time-to-time participation in international meetings is required as you will work with international colleagues and end-users who are spread globally so a strong cross-cultural awareness is required. In Clinical Meeting Management, we are responsible for the development, planning and execution of the external meetings and trainings that constitute the important milestones in a clinical trial. When a new drug, scientific protocols or trial results are presented to our external stakeholders around the world, it is us who coordinate the meeting, prepare the scientific material, and ensure delivery that is in compliance with the Novo Nordisk brand and the regulatory framework we work in.

We play a major role in driving the clinical trials that bring new medicine and innovative uses of known drugs to the people whose lives may be changed by it. The position

As the Lead Medical Illustrator, you are the Point-of-Contact (PoC) person for colleagues in CDD CMM and other relevant stakeholders. Will ensure the development & operational execution of medical communications materials for CDD CMM and highlight any challenges to management in a timely manner. Will take a solution focused approach and work with the rest of the team to ensure that projects are delivered in a timely and dependable way without sacrificing quality. You will be also responsible for training and mentoring of the new team members and for creating various fora for sharing better practices, process improvements and other activities as required. Drive stakeholder interactions related to clarifying and if possible, resolving issues of concern and/or inconsistencies related to medical illustrations or materials. Need to ensure the trustworthiness of the medical content and the best ways of conducting the overall processes, we have a range of colleagues specialised in medical communication, scientific trial management and presentation techniques.

When trial managers need a way of presenting a dataset or a timeline, you will be the one translating their needs into appetising, entertaining, and yet scientifically concise ways, using presentation tools, 3D imaging and animation software. Responsible for creation/format of presentations posters, eLearning’s, infographic reports using other communication tools, like PowerPoint, Word, Excel documents, etc, used for in-ternal and external medical communication based on collaboration with stakeholders. As you develop and maintain strong visual identifies in accordance with overall Novo Nordisk policies, you will keep a close eye on new technological opportunities and trends, keeping us at the forefront of professional, scientific communication across all the media we employ.



  • You should hold a minimum of bachelor’s degree in Graphical Design or similar, with at least five years of experience in creating precise and pleasing presentation materials at the highest professional level.
  • Important to have a strong graphical design background with a solid understanding of medical/scientific communication. In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, clinical trial activities and medical illustration principles. 3D software experience desired. Scanning and digital photography exposure is helpful. Experience in working on Computer graphics software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe CS6/CC) including InDesign, Photoshop, and Il-illustrator
  • Since you will be working with stakeholders from around the world and will be producing material to a very diverse group of people, we expect your cultural awareness to be rivalled only by your collaboration attitude, your personal drive, and your quality standards.
  • Full fluency of English is necessary in this position. It is a great advantage if you have worked in a pharma setting before, easing a steep learning curve significantly
